Suggestion: No Showing Accoutn Names

In 2002 when you click on a profile you shouldn't see that persons account name. It would be pretty hard to roleplay disguises or other things like that if they just click on you and see who you really are.

That would be pretty stupid.. Then what happens if hackers are on the server and you can't find out what their account is to report them?

Plus it would allow others to impersonate people, and there would be no way of telling who the real one is (except if you had the real account on your buddy list or something)

Some guy could get on and say he is Stefan Knorr and nearly everyone would believe him.

plus, nowadays there is those guys that use some character to make it so they have no nick name.

they could do something bad and we couldnt do **** about it

If you're RPing, you shouldn't be checking profiles anyway. RP Cheaters like that should be reported, or something.

A stealth option could be handy though...make Accountname a profilevar so some servers can remove it, or use an playerid instead..."Playerid 50 is dropping fullhearts!" is as effective if they stay online...and of course staff still see the accountname...

Still immitating other players and staff is a problem.
Unless you picked a name and that was the only one you could use.
