Old PM Stuff... Bring it back!

Remember way back, when you could use some weird tags in PMs you sent that could display a player's name, account, sword image, etc? Why were those taken away? They were cool, and you could do some neat things with them. What am I talking about? I don't remember the tags exactly, but here's the general idea...

You would send a PM like this...

"Hey #n, what's up?"

And the person reading it would see...

"Hey BBflat, what's up?"

you can do that by scripting, are you talking about signs and junk?

No, I'm talking about PMs, which have nothing to do with NPC scripting.

On the contrary, there are now a few PM-based scripting features.

But those annoyed me anyway. It was like:

It would be annoying to have a macro, were if they we're Pker's it would send a MM with the Killed person saying,"#n is A STUPID SAIENT!"

As Wind said, it was <GraalMSG> you can pretty much use any of the strings in it then, and if you're handy enough you can even display a number of variables.

Yeah, there was no real point for these things. All they were ever used for were personalized Mass PMs...and they got annoying, lol.

I'm glad they are gone.

it owuldnt be all that bad to bring back. Only if there was an option to disable Graal MSGs (like there is to disable HTML)
