Some quit, some didn't bother to reupgrade, some cheated, and one or two got framed.

Well, it's because Unix cracked down on all those "! OMG, I WILL UPGRADE UR ACCT 4 100G!!!" people using fake CCs, so if you are wondering, Graal isn't actually losing that much money, actually they are probably gaining it from the price hike.

Oh, and the endless mines of doom need to come out

Yea but the price hike is causing alot of people to quit. Read my other post

"What's going to happen..."

and read what I posted at the end. I think that would help alot.

Eh.

Things suck, granted. I'm not one to say as I've been gone for a week or so, but it seems like there hasn't been much new stuff added, 2k2 isn't out, players honestly just don't have the incentive to upgrade, or in the case of old school players, re-upgrade their accounts anymore, especially with the higher prices, ne...

Personally, I think the staff is to blame. In the last few weeks we saw planety of updates now we haven't seen jack. The updates we saw in March clearly demonstrate that even an older server such as Graal 2001 has potential to draw players in. But before March (up until after Stefan left to work on 2k2) and now we see that it's the most boring place to be. If it wasn't for role-playing, I wouldn't be on 2001 either, I don't blame people who are leaving.

One good example is the staff of light. So on Feburary 22nd it was 95% done, but it's April 2nd and it's still not out. I'm sorry, but people aren't going to wait for a stupid NPC for two months.

It's not the staff one bit, it's the players, the cc frauds, but a staff is a big problem, but not the biggest out there.

Well its actually moving up, its like the economy.
Everything has its highs and lows. I'm sure when stefan releases his new product there will be a lot of hype.

Here comes my uneducated observation:

Playing graal now is like playing with toys you enjoyed at one time, and now it seems you've done all you could with that toy but you are still playing with it because it's become somewhat of a daily routine.

HAHA I SUCK AT ANALOGIES

But good job to those who still enjoy the daily "idle in the market place" routine, I commend you.

Well, I would not want to play a server where the staff have fun at your expense, and very rarely update the server. This has been true for many months now. We get updates just as much as Blizzard releases a new patch for it's games
