lets do a Final Fanticy 7 thing with bomys!

2 bomy pet owners could get to gether and buy bomy food
bomy beds and then mate there bomys....
once the baby bomy is born--they must feed it
(so it will become a bomy pet)
but bomy food would be expecive

like 1 bomy would eat 3k worth of food


and you never know what bomy you would get.

Sorry, I am opposed. The bomy values would significantly drop and all the rich people would quickly team up and make a dozen bomys, selling them off for twice as much as they spent feeding it

If you could mate bomys then more bomys would come into the server, making bomys cheaper, and then everyone would have a bomy futher ruining the economy.

Of course...there isn't necessarily anything wrong with it...given a few provisos.

If Bomy Pets are exactly the same as Bomys, then there's a problem.

But if Bomy Pets just LOOK exactly the same as Bomys, it's fine.

Maybe Bomy Pets are young Bomys, Bomy Apprentices. You can't order them to boink, but if you provide the right mate they may humbly request some privacy.

Even better, maybe Bomy Pets are not Bomys at all, but Android Bomys produced either on the Bomy Moon or at the Zalactic Labs. Then sure, they can reproduce all they want.

Contrariwise, maybe the Player Bomys are the Android Bomys, and regular Bomys are just stupid animals, the Android ones imbued with the artificial intelligence to communicate with humans.

Clearly they MUST be different, however, it is not the case by defintion. A Bomy pet is a Bomy that must do whatever its owner says. A Bomy player is a Bomy that can own other Bomys. So basically we have a race of people owning each other, which by western standards is morally reprehensible.
It would be like if I had a human pet. Fun, sure, but sooo wrong.
If the human pet is an android, that's fine then. I own C3P0. That's cool.
If the human is an android, that's fine too. That'd be like Rush from MegaMan owning a dog, or something. I dunno, I don't follow it much so I can't come up with a good example...something with the maverick hunters I guess.
If you want Bomy Pets, you have to establish that they ARE different from Bomy Players in more ways than their social standing. Obviously Bomy Pets and Bomy Players are not the same because Bomy Players are not slaves and Bomy Pets are. But they're both Bomys, so what's going on there? Imagine being on a world where Humans are both pets and citizens. It's just freaky.

It's like when Mickey invites Goofy over and he walks past Pluto. A dog as a pet and a dog as a houseguest. wts?
