DO NOT buy Counter Strike retail.. just buy half life and then download counter strike. Plus, with half life you can also play other mods like TFC (great fun). Retail CS is often neglected when it comes to new upgrades and updates

Download both of them, You would need to since they are a new version, Get something like Kaaza, Look for these downloads

Half life 1.1.0.8 and counter strike 1.3

Its should only take about 2 days, Thats how long it took me. =), I lag like hell on it to...
