New/Old Level Editor

Ok, if you're anything like me you're not real pleased with the new level editor, and I know a lot of you aren't. So I thought I'd go ahead and post the last version of the editor (actually the whole graal.exe) right here for all of you that want it back. You can actually run but this exe still for making levels and play graal with the other, so just rename one or the other to keep them in the same folder.

Hope this makes some of you happy. Oh and btw, I would have just put this up on a website, but alas, I don't have one, so this will have to do.

you didnt post anything dude. Besides, the new editor is fine. Its all about change. If youre not willing to change, youre not worth your cause.

The new editor is really cool. The only thing that needs to be enhanced is the dragging of your player, cause walking around the level in editor mode can be slow.

It seems kinda neat. Weird but neat.

What I really want is layering though. Like selecting area that will be drawn above. and selecting what will be blocking... and what will be non-blocking...

is that so hard? can you make it selectively change a tiletype ? hehe tiletype(x,y) I believe is something you can read. (kaimetsu used it in a script he showed me once.) if it would be like board and you could change that. it might be great too.

Yes, part of the problem is that the scroll bars are gone, and it becomes a real pain to walk around the level like that, which doesn't serve a purpose that I can se so far, because the little guy can walk over everything, so it's not like a wall test or anything..
It's much more annoying to have to walk the little guy around, than to use a scroll bar....especially if you want to make a quick change....

I like the new editor. you can move around to other levels quickly and see if they matched up

new editor is nice .. it should have a no-warp check box and if u check it then it doesnt warp when the player touchs a warp .. sometimes its annoying cuz i keep touching warps.. but its really nice cuz if ur editing a map to make everything fit no hassle of having to play each lvl and see if it meets fine .. also to link its ezier cuz u just put the player where u wanna warp hit play, hit f5 and u got the coordinates faster then before.

the new editor is just plain frustrating. If they clean it up a bit and add the bars back i could deal with the little guy on the screen, though he gets in the way of my building because i generally build in the center of the screen and if I move the guy, it always centers on him, blocking what I'm trying to work on :grrr:

sheesh you only need the first row of tiles on each of the connecting levels to make it line up.

I like it but the npc you controll should be faster , like lat boots faster.

But you can only go so fast that you will go right through the warp fields before the server even picks it up so go into "Graal Space" as I like to call it then warps you on the opposite side of "Graal Space" presenting to the level as the center of the area. The server later recieves what you did after you have gone back then skipped a few levels over then resets you back to the opposite side of the level you were stuck in. I hope you get a thorough understanding of what I am saying.

Or you can be able to change the speed of the person? Also, just fix the Player dragging problems. Other than that, the new editor is a-ok

It's a little irritating how it stutters every time you start moving in any given direction...like it's looking for a file it can't find.
