Hats?

The Pope hat was too religious to be put up right? Why is the Turban up then? I'm pretty sure adults don't want their kids wearing rags on their heads and trying to be Osama bin Laden. Maybe that's me being racist, but it's kinda stupid.

The pope hat represents a religious leader.

The turban just represents a group of different religious people.

It was. "Due to the recent September 11th attacks" though... Wouldn't they take it down?

Who in the world would want to roleplay a pope? Why can't you just create your own religion-type thing and build from that?

That would cause a lot of hassel (sp?)

The Turbans would be removed from shops and players, then the players would want their cash back, and then the players that owned the hats before would want their cash back, then the players that owned the hats before that would want their cash back. And there would be no real way to find out how much one payed for it so they would have to guess, soo...........

Taking a hat out would be a lot of work, and the turban was released before the horrid things happened on Sept. 11th

Did we ever say "turbans are ethnic headdresses worn exclusively by islamic people."? No.

Right now there is generally a lot of predjudice and racism towards Afganistan people, and anyone with an Indian eithnic background or any other background similar to it thanks to Osama Bin Laden, this is to be expected due to the horrific events of Sept. 11th, but is generally misdirected. Therefore this topic came up.

Also, punctuation is a virtue.

And also there is only one pope while there is many people who wear turbans. If that ever got on 2k1 there would be more than one making it sacreligous.

Afganistan people? The place is Afghanistan. ?

Not an "Indian" ethnic background. Indians and southeastern Asians have no basis in this? It is Arabs and followers of Islam that a lot of people are generally prejudiced against.

There is a limit I will tolerate with these September 11th things. If it was up to government everything that including violence and hate would be cencored due to the September 11th attacks

I didn't ask ><

I didn't ask if you asked. =p

Anyway

Oh yea blade I'm sure a lot of Canadians, British, and Americans wear Turban. Want to see a picture of me in my room full of 50 different types of turbans? Frankly, I don't want the damned turban hats down! That's not what this is about! I want to imitate John Paul II and go around waving a nox "flover" at people and then PKing them! Erm wait..

I'm just saying, if there can be other hats (No I'm not calling turbans religious, though they DO play a role in the Islamic and Muslim religion) why can't I or other people wear a Pope hat? Now out of the 2, I'm sure if people HAD to buy one of them, I think right about now I'd see a lotta people wearing Pope hats than I would be a turban... Did that just make sense? Anyway...

Blade, Spunky is trying to make a point. If I had to choose one of the most sensible comments to this thread that is NOT bashing (which excludes Blade50) then I'd go with Aftershock.

One last thing Blade, there's more racism going on now then there has been in 30+ years.

by "pope hat," are you referring to a yarmulke or a hat often worn by bishops?
Quote:

you ****ing idiot. they play a role in sikh religion! not islamic religion! furthermore, muslim is refers to people, not the religion, which is islam.

#1) Your being racist to say the turban should be taken down. if you say its a islamic hat. which makes the whole point with the pope.
#2) The pope hat is a *** idea and noone would want it.
#3) People make out like it was all the islamic people that did it, it was a single group.
#4) Tons of trouble to remove turban.

This is just stupid... it is TALIBAN we are against.. not all of afghanistan... So what, it's a hat.. if a terrorist group sprung up wearing baseball caps, I guess you would say that the kaizer, and cool cap, and beer hat need to be taken off because the group wore baseball caps.

"omg that terrorist group wears clothes! time to strip down nude so we aren't like the terrorists!"

a) The pope hat is directly related to the pope.
b) The turban can be worn by many people. Arabs and Indians alone where it as an every day apparel.

Osama Bin Laden is not a religious figure (even though he does have a religion he bases many things off of), therefore, associating the problem of the turban with him can be quite stupid.

He is an idiota, yes. But that doesn't mean we are going to take down horses, caves, and mountains because Osama Bin Laden uses them to hide from the U.S.
