Gralats Offline

i am trying to make an offline version of the gralats thing. i know i have to put it in an NPC to make it work but.... i dont know how to go about doing that... some one plz point me in the right direction....

it probbly wont work, it might but i dont know if putnpc works offline, and i know putnpc2 does not work offline (if ur making for p2p)

well it depends... I scripted my own money system and it works fine offline

On a p2p playerworld, are the gralats placed on the level by scripts, or the server program?

Its a script but i believe due to its index it is in everylevel. Check the npc server doc , it tells a little bit about it I think

Do you mean the money script that places money or the script that is in each of the gralats?

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think the gralats are embedded into the NPC Server, you don't even have to script it or ask Stefan for the script since the NPC Server automatically does it

Yeah, but you need a system NPC for non-P2P servers and for offline.

setcharani gralat,1;

no its gotta use putnpc 'cause there is a script in each of the gralats.. but im not sure exactly how.. to make it work..

well, i have access to edit the script through NPC Control ...

basically ... if you made a gralats system for a free server it would have to be very good cause you could not use the server to control anything and then someone could edit there stuff clientside for the money to go up and so on ...

To detect if someone laid a rupees, you need to do sumptin like

if(created||timeout) {
for(a=0;a!=itemscount;a++) {
if(items[a].type==greenrupee) {
woohoo, I found a gelat!
}
}
timout=0.05;
}

it searches all the items 4 a green gelat.
If it found one, then it goes through the loop =P
