I just thought of this and thought it might be usefull.
I was thinking, if the trading item was editted so that when you place an item nobody can touch it, and you have to use commands like "Give flute to #a for price", that would be very usefull and would stop a lot of scams that are going on.

Ever heard of the trading post house thingy? It's up north, the trading item is just a quick way of trading. If you don't like people scamming go to the trading house/post.

Trading house would be a good way to trade if yo ucould trade more than 5 things

Go to some place where no one else is, or will be. That should solve your problems.
