Graal Utilities 2001!

I have just started a new Delphi project and I have decided to make a program where it has many things to make Graal easier for you to use and play.

I need to know what you would like in it though. I refuse to do any sort of code editing of any of Graal's EXE's but I will make utilities to help you along with level editing etc.

Please suggest anything you think would help you out. I will probably start with a .graal to .nw file converter. This should help you out a little bit. I really need suggestions though, otherwise I am making it for me and not you!

That would mean talking to Stefan. I doubt I could do that but I would be willing to convert it into a seperate program if Stefan gave me the source code and allowed me to.

I bet I could try and figure out how the levels are written into files (eg decode them) and make a new level editor you dont really need to talk to stefan.

if I had more time I would of made a npc scripting help thing (with code snippets.. script checking and all that stuff)
but im helping bravo + own UN so i have no time..
graal <-> nw is kinda useless...
and also you could make your own level editor (if ur saving to nw files) because they are not encrypted and easy to edit and all =)

That's easy... it's the tile placing bit that would be hard... and I am NOT re-programming G-Script!

Yes its is planned to make
the npc control the editor for npcs and levels

I would be willing to do this! There would be a major problem involving trust though. I am unknown in real life to you so I doubt you could give me the source code. I am trustworthy though.

IT REALLY WORKS! I put meh diet coke on it ;-)

well you know on word that very annoying paper clip comes up like that but it highlights the script and says thats wrong, do you mena like this " whatever"
e.g

seteffect red,blue,green,alpha <---it highlights it and a message pops up saying thats wrong, dont you mean:
seteffect 1,0,0,.5;
or whatever

hey Krakken, didn't some guy make a stand alone NPC Scripting utility? so why can't you do the same with a Level Building program. i think this is a great idea:

- Rotating Tiles (only tiles that have 4 of that kind, such as the outer grass/dirt tiles. we wouldn't want upside down houses...)
- Predefined Objects (loads of em')
- Tile Error Checker (a built in feature that actually finds tile errors! but doesn't correct them...)
- Better Level Generator (add support for gold trees, beaches, and such. the good things)

Honds is working on a scriping editor, it is great! It is sill in beta tho.... It will have many thing in it...these include:

• Open/save NPC from level
• Better debugger (Includes de bugging for NPC server commands)
• Tutorals
• Update downloader
• Auto code
• Templates(like in graal 2.1.0)
• Export script to HTML, E-Mail, .graal Level, .nw Level ect...

graal needs a macro system, like in ultima online where you could assign commands to a single key. like chat dialog or movements.
