Japanese

I was just wondering how many people here take Japanese at their school. How come its not in Graal? There's freaking every other language. Some languages I haven't even heard of (there, it's graal related :P ). I'm currently in Japanese2 and right now I'm studying like crazy (all the stuff I learned last year) cause there's a review test tomorrow. Well, if anyone takes it reply. Maybe we can help each other with hw and stuff.

nope, why the hell would such a small word like baka mean son of a *****. baka is a shortened version of the real word, which I forgot. It means like stupid, or fool.

My school doesn't offer Japanese, or else, I would be taking it. I only know a little japanese, myself. Though Alkaren's sword's name is japanese: The Kamiken.

There's so much to learn. The hard part about Japanese is only the Kanji. I can memorize like 50 words solidly or so in about an hour. It's the Kanji that are harder to memorize. I have a test today. I know I'll get a C.

The people that annoy me are the ones that try to learn japanese just so they can impress you by saying japenese phrases. It happens a lot too.. I remember this one guy in high school I used to hang out with in the morning.. he would always come in there telling me about j-pop and acting like he was SO into japenese culture.. He is one of those "I'm moving to japan" people that will never move to japan, because they just lie to pretend like they are special or something.

I'm a lot like that... well, maybe not. But I never use Japanese phrases to impress people. I like to use Japanese words for stuff like the Samurai kingdom because they sound cool to me, but I find it silly how people will throw Japanese phrases into a conversation just to sound cool.

There is no wholly correct way to write things in english from Japanese, so it's juvenile to nitpick.
For example, sometimes disregarding spelling convention makes for more compelling proper nouns.
Nonetheless, convention makes it easier to convert tham back to Japanese. So using "baka" would be preferable to "baca" because we learn to write "ka" syllables in Japanese. In english "c" is sometimes soft and that can cause confusion.

He spelled it that way on purpose to illustrate that you cannot wholly correctly translate Japanese. All it is is a phonetic translation, you know?

I learn at my own pace. I ditched my Elementary Japanese class because I didn't think I was skilled enough in the language, so I'll take it next year. I have tapes and a number of books and stuff, so I'm continually learning as time goes on.
