I would like to announce, that there will be a big Spar Tournement at the 23rd September 2012 at 5 PM EST.

Eligibility Requirements:
Gold Subscription

K.O. System
Allowed Players: 16-24 (depends on the number of participants)

1st Prize:

Ring of War
(Str+3 / Dex+3 / Con+3 / Wis-1 / Int-1 / Pow-1 / speed+5 / wc+3 / ac+2 / armour+30 / resist magic -20 / regeneration +3)

2nd Prize:

Bunny Tail
(speed+1 / luck+1)

3rd Prize:

Farming Hat
(Wis+2 / ac+1 / luck+1)

i still dont see the point of gold only. the reasons you listed were absolutely retarded. 8 people signed up so far and it's not very likely that 16 people are gonna come up last minute and sign up... gold players having priority over trials if the list was filling up would make sense tho...

Well there is still 1 week to register, so 8 people so far is not bad at all.

Players should be rewarded for buying a Gold Subscription, so Im limiting -my- Events for gold-only. Will host more if that Spar suceeds.

How about the fact they can play Graal Kingdoms with more luxury than a trial/classic account? It seems more like you're turning your events into a gated-community affair, because some people waste their money on a subscription doesn't mean they deserve bratwurst and hamburgers while the rest get kids lunchables and ramen noodles.

Well usually if you pay more you get better food too, am I wrong? So your comparison doesn't make sense to me really.
There are some high valued prizes to win, Im sure it would worth upgrading 1 month for it, which costs around 3-5 USD.
At the end its the players choice to participate or not. Im not telling someone that they have to join.

Also, please only post here if you have questions to the Event.

What I'm trying to say is that you're making events restricted to the players and that doesn't really seem fair. Events should be something players are all capable of getting into, otherwise you alienate people from your events.

Okay here's a question, since you asked, why do you want to keep it to gold only? Shouldn't everyone have a chance at the grand prices?

As for the comparison, I'll agree, not really the best comparison made.

Heres a better comparison I guess,

for the Lottery you also pay money to participate to win a grand prize right? Why should someone win a Prize without paying the fee.

Allow me to answer your question with one of my own, why should a player have to pay 300 gelats (3.93 USD if google's currency conversion is accurate) a month to pay for what essentially can be done for free on Zodiac? What actual value is there?

Like I said, nobody has to join and upgrade, up to them. But the Prizes are not just few ECs, so its totally worth it in my opinion.

For 5 dollars, I could buy a real scratch off ticket and win a good 20 bucks If I'm lucky enough.

They don't have to join and upgrade, but as someone representing the server for a special event, wouldn't you want to try to encourage us to?

If you want to win the tourney, to win a Ring of War, which is the literally best Ring availible on GK, you would spend that 4 USD. But since you are not playing GK it could be useless for you and uninteressant, which I also understand. This Event is mostly focussing the older GK players.

I will host more -luck- Events later which are also availible for trials, though.

We could now endless argue about it, but the fact is that this Event is exclusive for Gold-Members.
Also trials are hugly handicapped for Spars, I cant balance each fight, would be unfair at some point.

Well, I know you can't do anything about it yourself, but technically it wouldn't be impossible to make a balance, but that's just trivial semantics.

From the list of participants I can already tell you that there's a huge gear difference between the best and the worst players on that list. Isn't that a balance issue as well? Should 30 30 30 be the requirement to join these exclusive events?

I have 385 hp with the trial level 10 cap. There are gold members who have less hp than this yet this isn't considered a balance issue? I don't see where you're going with this balance argument because it's not making any sense bro

Technically what nico said is correct. RoDD and GB are not available to all players. They are available to the one person that bought them and lets them sit in his inventory to do nothing. Those "SOCCER BOOTS" that everyone keeps crying about were already on the server. They weren't created which means no harm was actually done to the economy. They still hold the same value as they did before. 95% of the items that were given out as monthly prizes were items that were already on the server before. They were items either by garglius or items that were given to Stephen in the auctions he did. (His auctions were also garglius' items.)

As for being gold only.. not sure I agree with it, but it's not my event so it is his choice. GK is a "Gold" server and requires a gold account to do many things on the server. So his choice isn't technically wrong for making it gold only. His event and his items means his rules.

You're stating that if the proper price was not raised that RoDD or GB were offered upon generously they wouldn't be traded? I rest my case; Ring of War is not the best ring available in the game.

They WERE already on the server; owned by someone and sold properly for extremely generous overpay by Garglius; who aquired his vast wealth through spawning nearly ten thousand event coins. With you saying that Garglius' items are nearly all that was evented off gives no valid reasoning to say that a single item was "legit". He paid for every epic item he had with unreasonable overpay; seeing he could spawn any amount of EC he wanted... with this said, Nico's chestplate (3 str 3 con 3 dex 2 speed wat) seems awfully illegitimate.

I'm not saying good prizes shouldn't be given, but I'm saying the points system had many flaws; which you agreed on in the past. I believe that other tactics of getting good items should be investigated. And that the economy is extremely fragile; and giving TOP tier items every month to the same three contestants is quite ignorant.
