:Background Story:
Bosh is a rare breed of God amongst the other deities of the Graal universe. He sees no good or evil, but more of a gray which exists between all corporeal things. As such, he has long straddled the line between the forces who claim to represent Good, and those who claim the thrones of Evil. Through all of this, there have been numerous occasions in which he has been caught in the brooding tension between his fellow Gods who seek to control the very elements of existence.
Bosh has recently returned to the material plane of Graal, but his reasons remain a mystery. It is believed that he may be in search of a long lost artifact from the time of the Great Creators, beings whom supposedly constructed all of reality, giving shape to all that is, before vanishing forever. Other rumors are that Bosh has returned out of disdain for his fellow Gods and their petty squabbling for unreachable power, knowing that the consolidation of the elements of existence can only be done through cooperation rather than total war. And yet others speculate that he has other more self serving tasks, possibly ones that revolve around once again seizing control of the world governments in an effort to assert a grand hegemony over all civilization. Regardless of the answer, one thing is for certain: a god again walks amongst the mortals of the Graal world, something that does not happen very often and not without significant reason.
It is these recent events which have bred a new cause for conflict amongst the higher Gods of the Graal Universe. The ability to influence just one neutral deity to their side may potentially tip the balance of power in their favor, allowing them to assume control over the all of existence. As such, it is almost certain that the world of Graal is about to experience, once again, strange and powerful events which may be difficult for mortal minds to explain, yet will surely have a direct impact on the lives of all living creatures.
High in the Heavens, the drums of war beat on again...
((This is the background for the actual roleplaying scenario I am hosting as an Events Master for Graal Kingdoms. The story is created by me, and the rewards are often provided through the Events Prizes pool which I am allocated. However there are times when I will reward prizes from my personal wealth as well. This roleplaying event is going to take place over a very long period of time, spanning dozens of RP events following a chain of events through the story as it plays out like a book. Those who participate will be noted for exceptional participation, and can even be given unique rewards in certain events.
Some events will revolve around surviving, defeating monsters, and finding things [like finding the Researcher on 5/24/2011]. Others may be more involving problem solving, knowledge of the GK world and historical events and places, and overall teamwork. My goal is to make an event which all have an opportunity to participate, and which not just older players have a chance at prizes. I hope everyone will follow the course of these events as they progress, and I hope everyone who participates enjoys the events I am planning out. There will be many new things to see and experience. And the choices you all make can drastically impact the world of GK as you know it!)) |
