Could we make this the Classic iPhone section since Classic isn't really active anymore? Just would make sense considering Classic is always under construction or on hold and Classic iPhone is a bit more relevant these days as it is. Just a suggestion.

It's been suggested that there be an iPhone section of the forums already and I personally think this would be a better idea than including threads within the sections of the respective servers or within PlayerWorlds section, but I shall move it to PlayerWorlds for now seeing as that is a more appropriate section than Classic.

Also Classic may be Under Construction, but atleast there is actual content being constructed, I'd much rather be developing content in the hope of moving forward in future than taking everything for granted and assuming we couldn't possibly lose relevance, a mistake that has been made by several people on Classic in the past, including myself.

I just thought it would be nice to have a little section for us. I don't see why there is one considering the playercount. We could be getting some good feedback and suggestions. Also maybe people would stop arguing about iPhone topics in "wrong" sections (GRAAL era iPhone updates in era forums for example).

And I agree with you that there should be an iPhone section, but that doesn't justify it being at actual Classic's expense, hell even if that logic was justifiable I don't think Bomy Island is being developed, Npulse don't seem to have released their plans (if there are any) on these forums etc, I also happen to be pushing to release a pretty big update to Classic at this very moment.

It is wrong. The Era subforums that Era iPhone info is posted in is in the "playerworlds" section. The iPhone servers are not playerworlds.

Well if Boomy Island moved to iPhone (meaning the playerbase and staff is there) then yeah should call it Boomy island iPhone. If both servers were able to survive then have two threads (pc and iPhone) like era then have 2 topics. I'm just going by where the activity is. To have a topic for a world that has very few players and not too much updates going on compared to a server with record numbers, it seems like a good idea. Even if it is just small updates. It's kind of annoying having two "classics" and people arguing over original vs hybrid all scattered throughout the forums because one of them used to be so much better and blah blah blah it will never be the same yada yada...

Good luck with the update. Hopefully we can live in peace instead of coming on everyday seeing people complain about hat updates vs no updates.

Chances are likely that the plans won't be released until they think they've made a step towards actually having a clue to what they're doing, which is still unlikely to be seen considering Matt is always inactive and taking one step and going two back.

N-Pulse usually releases any form of idea or plan on their forums whenever they come up with one, but with every plan they've created, the manager either decides to build upon it like it actually needs to be completed to the exact end before it's considered releasable or the manager quits and the next one trashes it, repeating the first option.

I think you've misunderstood the concept of what an Under Construction server is, there is no expected playercount, this is something that will be attended to if/when the server goes live.

In the mean time it's something that is actually being prepared for, and admittedly it will take alot of work in the current environment on Graal, imagine how much harder for yourself it would be if there were 5 other iPhone servers and people had to pay $50 for a 12 month subscription.

But to say there have been no updates is a long way off, our update regularity is on a par with visible PC server(s), and many are infact quite bigger than what has been implemented onto the iPhone server, they may not be as profitable (so far) sure but we're more worried about creating an enjoyable game with solid content that any new player can experience.

My take on things: As long as a server has regular and interesting updates, it can have a forum section.

Classic has been a main tab server before and is on the path to going back, so I don't see any reason to remove the forum section on those grounds either.

It's quite silly how Darlene will go out of her way to mutilate the rules to get people like us banned, but threads being constantly posted in the wrong place and people like Andrew cluttering the forums despite a variety of logical alternatives is a-okay.

I still remember when she warned me for my previous signature or something when I had it in there for over two weeks and then suddenly decides to confront me on it, the rules aren't fair to be followed, nor does it matter if we actually try because this is a god damn dictatorship rule.

Hm, I definitely wasn't complaining. Just offering a suggestion really. I don't like to subscribe to the whole "nothing is gonna change so why bother" act because asking/suggesting once doesn't hurt anyone. A yes or no from the decision maker(s) or a simple ignore the topic is all I should expect and I'd still enjoy the game without it ^_^

No harm in allowing Facebook and iPhone Graal here.

And sorry I just wasn't aware Classic was still in the works (how long now?). I assumed Classic iPhone was the new classic and Classic PC was just taking up space since it didn't have anyone working on it. Even if it is different at least most of the GMAP is there. I didn't play Classic much years ago, but I do remember some of the stuff from implemented on there with our team continuing the updates with new places and touch ups/expansions to accommodate the 1000+ playerbase. That's just the way it is. But as for my original suggestion--Forums just seemed more appropriate for the server that could use one. Plus, if we encourage iPhone players to come to the forums they will probably consider getting a gold account (it is required for posting afterall) and the "real" GRAAL can still go strong. Win win situation and the family grows! OMG!

Having all of the development kept in one thread makes Era iPhone's changes easier to find and review, and makes navigating how the server has evolved over its lifetime much easier. We're not bothered about how many responses we get as like anything on this forum it's just a mass of negativity but just look at how many views the threads have had even when the threads arn't promoting any updates.

I think making a new subject/category is the best way to go for iphone stuff. Granted, not much is really posted there, but how long has it been there either? And as iphone servers go, they are servers, and that's all playerworlds are as well, they are the same exact thing (not exact but you should get my drift), just one type on pc and one on iphone. It is not professional or easy to go through even 8 pages of crap to see whats up, when some of it may not even be related, in one single thread for players that make up about 6 times the amount of players on pc.

It'd be way more professional looking to organize a subject/category for each iphone/facebook/andriod playerworld/server than throw all of each on in a giant thread for the rest of its years. It'd also be way more user friendly than just 1 thread.

Of coarse, we've been asking for new stuff for a long time on the forums, and there is at least 1 classic server that doesnt even have a subject/category thats classic, and what, 1 dead server and 2 servers that are UC now? UC servers should be taken out, and bla bla bla. What really needs to be done is they need a website/forums admin to take care of these things and keep it up to date. Hell, I'd do it for free.

If that's the case, then it would be better suited as tweets or client news posts (or the forum blog!!), not a forum. An open forum is not just a bulletin board of news. That's the very definition of "forum"; it's where talk occurs, where discussion occurs and views are expressed. Not a bunch of individual news posts that never get discussed/only looked at.

This has been addressed every time. If it was in an iPhone subforum where Andrew had rights, the initial update could be periodically updates to have a description of each update, as well as a link to the page where that update is described in better detail.

They don't post on the Era subforums! Or a new thread for every update, or a thread for player weddings, or specifically say they don't intend to get replies on the news.

Maybe I'm just expecting too much from the staff of Graal's latest flagship servers. It's still Graal after all.
