Emitter on a gmap

Okay, so I have an emitter that creates a sort of weather effect. except only in a large area around the emitter's location. however, once you leave the level, you can no longer see the particles. Is there an emitter thing that allows the emitter to show up on adjacent levels on a gmap if set to true?

This also effects my projectiles that use a particle emitter in the gani.

Any ideas?

I think you either need to place several of them or put the code in a weapon script.

I don't know what exactly you're doing but weather effects in general are best put in weapon scripts.

Well it's not an actual weather effect, otherwise I wouldve put it in a weapon script.

Taking an example of what I'm doing right now, one of my classes has a skill that causes it to snow in a large area. Everything inside this area is debuffed and damaged over time.

So placing npcs in multiple levels or bundling the effect in a weapon script isn't going to be the solution.

My only thought for a way to do something like this would be to do a putnpc2 for the class.. then once the class is placed keep record of its original spawn location then have the npc itself follow each player for x distance and once a max distance is reached shut off the effect.. ?

Is putting it in a weapon script really the only way to do it? I wanted players to be able to see exactly where it is so they know NOT to step in it. If it's in a weapon, they wont know until they enter the level.

Other way around. Show it at the x/y of the "where you don't step".
