I'd assume he probably means fully-compatible syntax. Obviously things like the DOM wouldn't be transferred to Graal so you wouln't be able to copy/paste visual JavaScript (functional things like algorithms would work though).

It would be really awesome if this happened--Javascript is kind of well-defined as a language even without the DOM. But right now there are so many fundamental differences in how the two even work that I suspect being able to directly copy algorithms is a very long way off.
