Like? I have never seen the ability to fall back through platforms on Mario, as jump-through platforms are usually used as one-way paths.

Really great work Dusty.
Rep++
I've never seen work like this before on Graal.

And on the sliding part, i think his slide is almost to far than normal, try chopping it down a fraction, but I think I saw that you were still working on it.

Not sure, never played Mario on the DS, I still have an old Super Nintendo that I play NSMB on every once in a while.

The only errors I see now is:

-Sliding (already mentioned)
-Turtles come back to life when they're still in motion after being hit, you can notice it when towards the end of the video when it's going though all of those blocks.

Not coming back to life lol. They're dancing, and it doesn't check whether they're in their shells or not. I had planned on adding it, but thought it was quite funny to see them dancing as they slide around, or spontaneously pop out of their shell, heh.

It has always been a feature. I'm fairly certain you can do it on all platforms if you quickly double press the down button. I don't have Super Mario World open right now, so I can't verify (but it might have been something only in Mario 2 or 3, and not in all games).

Well I just tested it in SMB3 and SMW, and neither have the ability to fall back through platforms(except for the white ones in SMB3). It's not an ability in NSMBds or Wii, either(like I said, they use this to create one-way paths. For example, using a pipe to get access to an area that is under a bridge, which you can up through, by can not fall back down through).

Zomg awesome work,

However you should use some NSMB Koopas if Graal can handle that.

Ran into a problem... added death and respawning, but apparently Graal handles caching level data fairly well, and even when you're warped out of a level and warped back in, the NPCs hold their previous data. Not exactly sure how to remedy this short of scripting a system in all the NPCs that will store their original status and restart them upon entering the gmap.

Set a timestamp on death and each NPC checks the timestamp?

Would still require the same set-up of storing spawn data, which I was hoping I didn't have to do. It's easy, just not fun

This is REALLY REALLY impressive. I love platforming games so I'll love this.
It would be so amazing if there was a platformer server on Graal.

You did an amazing job.

Well not sure if people are aware, but I did release it to try out here:
http://forums.graalonline.com/forums...hp?t=134257875

And if I could get some nice graphics made I'd love to make a server out of this, as GS2 is way more powerful and would certainly be able to handle things better. However... platformers just don't make very good online servers in my opinion, at least not platformers like Mario.

Perhaps have it so that there are many quests/missions/side-quests/tasks that all take part in a platform style, where as the world between them all is a normal Graal universe?

Newer Mario levels are much more inventive and creative in their design than the older games.

However, the level I made was simply a test level -- to showcase and test various degrees of gameplay that a normal level normally wouldn't have all in one place.
