At the end of the day, there is actually just one UC server who have been able to survive this long.
I believe the chances are very good for AEON.

Sodom and Gumdrops will never be put on the tab. After 46 rebuilds (and all 46 times ending up with a consistent playerbase of over 300 players every night, averaging 600 on Sunday nights), it wasn't put on the tab once. ...And after being destroyed by Stefan and Unixmad 46 times out of pure jealousy, I'm not sure I have the strength to bring it to the people again.

Exactly! Mainly because of lack of developers.

Everyone starts their own projects, some with potential.
Then they die out.

I don't know how many servers in my years I've seen die. I just sigh everytime that happen...

Only thing it takes an UC server to survive is a little money. Has nothing to do with effort or quality.

Money is usually not the issue with servers.
Everyone can find one way or another to repay their server or to repay their gold.

AEON have been on the edges to die aswell. There have been, gosh I don't know how many downfalls.
But the problem for us have never really been repaying for the server, it have been "solving" the downfalls.
For other servers that die out, it's just the lack of commitment I think. Mainly from the Managers/Owners

Doesn't really matter for an UC server. Any single one of them can pull the, "we've got years of being around!" when it doesn't really matter when all you have to do is pay for year after year. Doesn't prove a damn thing towards the quality or success of the server. It's not like you have to maintain some sort of standards to stay UC.

I'm talking about my experience. I'm talking about AEON, not any other servers.

About the quality work ; AEON, mainly the modern world, has one of the most "quality work" I have ever seen on Graal.

My point is your original post boasts how long Aeon has been 'surviving' as an UC server when it's an effortless achievement.

Then again I'm sure you've done enough boasting about all of Aeon's other 'qualities' to cover up this minor slip-up.

Going from PWA rules I don't think it takes all that much to actually get on the Classic tab, the problem is really staying on it and maintaining a long term meaningful sized playercount, this usually requires both single player content and a good community interaction setup, UC servers are unlikely to have large/decent enough Development Teams to allow them to pump out content on a short term basis to the same as extent as the top Classic tabbed servers do, and building decent content intended to be successful in the long run of course takes alot of time and effort, time being something that in most cases costs money and effort being something alot of people don't have much incentive for putting in.

In my case when it comes to the Classic server it's all about ensuring long term stability, as it happens we could have actually remained on the Classic tab had we chosen to continue working with what there was previously, the important thing isn't so much about passing a PWA inspection and getting back on tab asap but to create something that would hopefully be fun to more people than previously, fill the void of a decent Questing server (note to Era Clone makers, Graal does not need another Era) and even more ambitiously create such a good foundation to build that we can pump decent content out regularly in the short term.

That's not quality work lol, it's quantity. Theres so many gani's that if you wanted to do a rehaul on a gun, you'd have to redo at least 100 gani's.
