How about you take a leaf out of zodiac's book, and post daily updates on whats happening, with screenshots etc etc.

There are no screenshots or impressive updates. The entire staff team is completely swamped with either work or school. There's not a lot we can get done, and when we get time, there are more important things to do than Halloween updates.

However, assuming the graphics are ready, we should have some prizes ready in the next few days.

Chris Vimes (me), scripting
Tim_Rocks, levels
Rachel (cooldust79), levels
Sage (graphics)
Arch_Angel (graphics)

I don't have access to the times they last logged on right now, but I saw all of them on yesterday.

And no, Era doesn't have a "dedicated" staff team. Hopefully no one will take that out of context (shame on anyone who does). In order for Era to have a dedicated staff team, we'd have to quit school/jobs and work on Era as if we were getting paid. Life is more important. There's a shortage of decent developers everywhere on Graal, ask any server manager. We're not going to lower our standards and start hiring people who can't develop well.

This is true and it especially sucks now that people can't really learn to script offline. And in order to learn to script online they need to pay for a developer package. The developer shortage is probably only going to get worse.

Greed kind of put the nail and Graal's coffin there. It was bad enough when they expected developers to make all of Graal's content for free, but now they want us to pay them to make content for them? It's not surprising that I can remember there regularly being about 200 players on each of the popular servers a few years ago, and now Graal's average playercount for the last year is less than 250.

Crow, scripting - Didnt he quit, + I havnt seen him online in like 3-4 months.
Chris Vimes (me), scripting - Yup.
Tim_Rocks, levels - Yup.
Rachel (cooldust79), levels -Yup.

Arch_Angel (graphics) - wow, i swear to god, this guy works on every single server ive seen.

But still;
No ganier's.

Crow and Arch_Angel only have access to the dev server. Which is why you don't see them, but Crow has been online pretty much daily.

We also have Relic on the LAT team, and Amsel on the Gani team (but he's kind of busy). There's not a huge demand for ganis right now, though.

It's pointless to duplicate work because pretty much anything made for one server will have to be remade for the other. We'll release things as they are completed on the dev server to the main server if possible, however, most of it cannot be moved without downtime or a reset. I remember when I played, we didn't see any updates for months at a time...and when we did, it was something that only benefited a few people (eg releasing a new gang, a few "rare" guns, or auctioning off some new business). Everything I've done has been looking out for the server as a whole.

There's been small updates to keep current Era at least slightly interesting to players while they're still working on Era Dev.

Don't like it? Don't play it.

Come back when the new dev stuff is implemented, I'm sure you'll find plenty more to ***** about on the forums then.

The Era Halloween Shop is now open.

To answer a few questions:

Where is it located?
Somewhere in the ocean. That's all I can say (hint: ask any player, they probably know).

How much do the items cost?
That depends on the item. They cost points which you get by digging pumpkins.

How do I get pumpkins?
You can't anymore.

I'm digging and not getting pumpkins.

How many of each item can/should I buy?
You can buy as many of each item as you want, except for the mystery box. You should only purchase one mystery box.

I accidentally bought two mystery boxes, what do I do?
Contact an admin and tell them what happened. Please be patient if they are slow in responding since we are quite busy lately.

The mystery box sucks.
That's because it's not open yet. It will open some time tomorrow.

What's in the mystery box?

People are killing me out side of the shop. Help!!!
PM a PR or other staff and they can watch.

Why was I jailed?
You were probably PKing or blocking outside of the shop, which is forbidden.

And since they're paying with pumpkins it's not like the PKers are gonna get a bunch of money from it, like they would with normal shops.

Just let the shoppers kill the PKers. They'll do it eventually. Or the PKers will get bored and leave.

When creating these things, you should ask youself, will I use my own system. If the answer is no then other people probably wont use it, if the answer is yes then you made a kick ass system, or you severely ****ed up.

Too bad this game used to be fun, till our new staff got ahold of it. Thats the only real problem I have.

Constructive criticism consists of two main things:

1) Identifying the problem.

2) Providing alternative/good solutions on how to fix said problem.
