Zodiac Update: July 4th 2009

Well I've been hustling along coding the essential system scripts, and we're nearing an alpha stage, which means I can get people to start working on content and non-essential systems like Jobs, and so on.

My current build, 60 Priest. Statistics and other numbers are not finalized and are subject to change. A lot more emphasis is placed into the basic stats this time around and along with the removal of +damage(percent), +defense(percent) mods as they cause a lot of problems.

Currently finished in an alpha state:
- Basic Item System
- Damage Formulae
- Magic Defense & Damage Reduction Formulae
- EXP Formulae
- Class Leveling
- Inventory (Q) Includes the item description.
- Status (W)
- Equipment (R)
- Skills (E)
- HUD
- Basic PVP Combat
- Death / Respawning
- Targeting System
- Casting Spells (Currently the only spell uploaded is Minor Heal :] )

Feel free to ask questions/share your opinions of the progress so far.

Meh, I don't know exactly what the people on Zodiac find appealing about all that black in their interface.

It's simple, and easy on the eyes and I've grown to prefer it over the generic wood look so on almost every other rpg-based server, but I'd be more than open to allowing between different skins if anyone wants to make one.

I can't wait for v2 to be released, espically if the new graal client comes out, there will be no lag and finally a fun server I can play on.

Change the hp/mp gui, really it's very unattractive and could use an update.

Apart from that, it looks much better. Could use some color but not sure which.

The black GUI always got on my nerves, should totally make it a lighter color similar to kingdoms and give an option to set transparency for all windows like gk did with the inventory but they need to do to the rest of the skill systems.

At least change the top menu bar portion on the black GUI. It looks incredibly pixellated and noisy.

9999 hp cap please, and make it so only monks can reach it at 60 monk with physical armor asdf

Yeah but the level cap was also 50 then, plus now defense will apparently play a better role in tanking.

more fun the other way, it wasn't like 10 minute long fights where someone ended up running inside and no one got a kill

Fixed the Top Bar for Windows.

Also.. the 9999 HP cap is stupid and restrictive as Crono mentioned. We don't plan on capping any stats or hp/mp values but the stat gain will be completely redone to take into account the extra 10 levels that the current ones don't.
