Dagger Strafe

I dunno, I got bored and I made the 2 ganis for the dagger strafe. Never understood why it never worked. *shrugs*

Hopefully, it can be used.

Thanks a lot, that requires quite a few scripting adjustments to fix though, I'll see what I can do.

I'd imagine so. I tried to replace my sword strafe and hold with these, then equipped a dagger and it didn't work. So I dunno.

Awsome, while you're fixing daggers, it's paramount that the whole freezing problem be fixed. Because of this, daggers are actually slower than swords, because you can still move freely swinging your swords (with a dagger, you're held in position...).

That's probably with the scripting and the freezeplayer. The dagger gani is actually faster then the sword gani. ;0

As Tig said before the scripting will need adjustments which might also apply to the freeztime on daggers.

It'd be easier to show you ingame...

But basically, you're frozen in place for every swing, but the length of time for daggers is far too long, longer than with a sword, which results in sword wielders being more able, in movement (They can swing and move at the same time, you can't with a dagger).

If the dagger gani is edited i think you need to be really careful, could easily make daggers to overpowered, currently i think yes swords do have an advantge in pvp combat somewhat to do with the length of freezeing time but more to do with swords having a bigger range.

Nice addition, but daggers have freeze time for good reason. Even with swords, you freeze when you swipe, and it shouldn't be any different with other weapons.

Removing freeze time on daggers will allow players to attack so fast that stun times won't matter, and it opens the door for a lot of exploitation. (Imagine being attacked so many times that you literally can't recover because of how often the stun animation is playing.) Just a heads-up, in case that hasn't been considered yet.

No one suggested removing the freeze time... It just needs to be worked on so that while using a dagger, and moving, one isn't frozen in place.

Tig clearly said he was going to adjust the ganis which probably meant he'd fix the freeze time as well as the other mistakes
