Getting better! Though, just to be a critic:

-Try not to blob together black pixels, like in the handle...Try to exchange the black pixels inside the outline with something lighter enough to notice the difference.

-The red and yellow lines don't really work well unless you blend it into somethinga bit thicker (3 thick lines, red, orange and yellow?)

-Try to keep rounded things round? x.x; for example, number 1 is nice, number 2, is not. :o

Well, if you do it, at least don't put a black outline around it
I used the same palette in the image - don't quite understand what you mean by "normal paint"

i mean the default paint program that comes with you usually, i dont know if using any more advanced paint systems gives you any advantage, anyway. ill take onboard whats been said and try make it look better.

It doesn't, when it comes to pixel art.

Yeah Pixel Art = PAINT (MS)

[NOT]Pixel Art[/NOT] = Advanced program editing anything you want with one single key.

You can not connect the term "pixel art" to any program. You can create pixel art with almost any graphics program.

So having layers, an extremely large history cache, opacity, and the abilty to zoom in much farther does not look like advantages?

Well ok, I just mean this way that pixel art is then the art of pixeling, meaning you draw pixel by pixel.

Pixel art = attention to every pixel, control of every pixel. When you use an airbrush tool, for instance, it lays hundreds of pixels(depending on the size) of various colors, size, and in different places--none of which did you place directly yourself. You had no control of how many colors it added, where it placed them, and how they directly effected the pixels around it.

Layers are debatable. If you place a layer of a window over a house and make it partially transparent, you're going to add a lot of colors depending on what it's placed over. Many people don't have a problem with this, however, as you are placing pixel art over pixel art, so the color addition would be minimal. If you don't, most people end up manually emulating the same thing anyhow. Manual process is more efficient when you're trying to keep color-count low, though.

Either way, it doesn't depend on the program you use, but how you use it. Photoshop is capable of pixel-art, it's just not tailored to it.

I don't see how photoshop is not tailored to it more than any other program.
It offers many different types of pixels for even doing pixel work.

Also, using layers has no real downfall in pixelart as it simply keeps parts off of others.

Opacity, if used correctly, is a great tool for pixelart. It allows you to greatly tone your colors, to a certain look, it doesnt nessacarily add colors unless you use it in a certain way, or only on a portion of the work.

More options for photoshop even include easier rotation rather than redoing the whole work, and color balance lets you see how your art would look in many different tones, and doing so even makes some tasks menial; making potions of different colors requires 1 pixelart and simply color balance them from, for instance, red -> blue.

Liberated has a spectacular aura about
i often notice when i try to work in photoshop, if i want to erase something, the eraser (even at 1 pixel size) also erases parts arround the selected pixel, lowering their opacity.

It's not tailored to it... because, well it wasn't intended for it. For example, the line tool is not accurate at all, and does not show how it will directly lay the line. That is bad for pixel art, as lines are important. I also don't like the cursors used on the pencil tool. I prefer the + type cursor. There are benefits, but there are other programs more suited for pixel-art.

I never said it was BAD, it's just that it's not always preferred by pixel-artists. That doesn't mean it's not capable, though. And of course, this is my opinion. Usually, I use MSpaint along with Photoshop. MSPaint for the workload, and photoshop for small tasks like indexing, color swaps and such.

Line tool? x.x; Use the pencil, hold shift. makes all the lines you need as accurate as possible.

As for the + cursor, turn caps-lock on and the cursor will change to the + cursor, or simply set the + cursor to default in preferences.

I want to draw a line, not use a pencil :P

Holding shift means I'm limited to horizontal/vertical. What if I want to make my lines 2:1(isometric)? What if I want 45-degree lines? What if I just want to draw a slightly angled line!?!?

I don't understand what you're trying to do here. It's all preference, I'm not trying to convert anyone, and I don't understand why you'd try to convert anyone either. Photoshop just wasn't made with pixel-art in mind, so of course its going to have flaws in that area.

i think photoshop is usable for pixelart, but... as the name suggests it is is ment to edit photos and high quality pictures, for example game screenshots and stuff.

I'm not trying to convert, but you keep naming things photoshop can do D:

Also, if you hold shift with the pencil tool you can click one spot, then click another spot anywhere to make a line in any angle you want, only holding shift while holding the mouse button will make straight horz\vert. lines.

If I wanted to do that, I'd just use the line tool :P But I like to SEE where I'm placing a line, and exactly how it will lay out.

Anyways, yes I'm naming things Photoshop probably can do. It's just that it doesn't do it to my preference(like I said, it wasn't made to do pixel-art).
