Some opinions on the guns system - Page 2

the thing is, with the server being reset, everyone is being screwed over. when nerfing / buffing guns, certain people are losing / gaining money because of it making it unfair. that's how the players see it, and will complain about it.

also, the whole smgpk thing with the leute people seems pretty sketchy. not saying you did it in purpose but it looks bad and that's the way players are going to view it x.x

We run around with "crappy guns" on purpose, everyone knows that. I run around with a tarus, mini-SMG, uzi, SmgPK and a m3.... I highly doubt any of us would buff a weapon for our own personal gain, never the less use a buffed gun unless it wasn't too over the top.

Anywho, players can see it any way they want. To me this is the testing stage to balance the weapons before the reset. If would be stupid to do it any other way than this.

I agree that this is a "testing stage," however, staff are taking FAR too long to reset the server. A reset was supposed to occur earlier this year (Around January), yet staff chose to get nothing done in that time period. I'm being harsh, I admit, but this has been dragged out for way too long now...

Current administration != the administration that announced the reset...I don't even think anyone on the team was staff back when the reset was announced.

Don't blame us for their screwups -- we're just trying to fix it.

I don't understand most guns take only 1-2 shots to kill a person except small calibers. So why do certain guns take 100 shots and others take 2 on era

Because this isn't real life, this is a video game, there's slight discrepancies between the two. Why in real life do bullets move to the point where they're practically invisible to the naked eye, while in era you can move out of it's path?

And the reset has been needed because of the duping. If at first sign of noticing it, someone changed the dropping system and rolled back, we wouldn't have this problem. But it's a bit late now.

I made this topic to get out opinions on the gun system, and allow people to talk about quirks or anything of the sort because I was afraid Era's staff wasn't looking at the majority or the big picture. This isn't meant to be an attack thread on either side, so please keep it on topic. We don't need to hear more about how bad you hate the management for various reasons.

I think he was saying to quit complaining..Unless you misquoted..In which case I don't play era anymore...but that is the way I feel about it thats why when I play other games I always choose hardcore type so its a slight bit more realistic although it still isnt that real..

Zone is worse in intelligence, In Era you have more things to blame that's actually true than Zone does though.

if there's one thing I've learned from being staff on era for around a year+ it's that staff don't give a **** about what the players think. I'm guilty of it myself.

the new gun system is being designed and supported by people who are too stuck to the past. do you think the staff care? not really. it's in their mind that it's good for the server and they're going to stick with it.

guns could of still been balanced without having to butcher them in a way that would piss players off because of the drastic change.

Era is cool. but one thing sux... ( for me. lol)

When u are using a gun... u can not shoot "diagonally"...
only "verticaly" and "horizontaly"

(i dunno if u say those word like that... xD)

I just think they should lay off of the buff/nerfs for now. They aren't make sensible nerfs at all, and they are only targeting a specific group of guns.

Guns need to be tested now, so that staff don't need to be adjusting gun stats after the reset. Which would you prefer ?

I've been playing for a loooong time and this is the best eras future has ever looked to me. You people need to calm down and understand that era is in good hands right now... stop whining and wait to see what happens after the reset, then make your judgments.

Am I whining or stating a fact? Get your knowledge correct.

Secondly, I suggested that it is fine to test out guns, but do it to a reasonable extent. You cannot nerf/buff guns, and than reset the server four + months later. The time frame is what I'm more concerned about, rather than what they are actually doing.
