What do you want with events?

As most of you know, I have been using my position as Events Team Admin to release new events for the players. What I want to know now is what more do you want to see?

A few times I have massed out asking what events you'd like to have developed, but this is a little more formal, and should help me to decide where to go from here.

If you have any specific ideas, please don't be afraid to post them.

As an ET, it seems players like team events (especially CTF, Laser Tag, and Prison Break) more than anything.

These are probably my favorite events as well, from both a player and hoster point of view.

Agreed, that's what I voted for =p

I'm currently working on a Team Death Match event, where instead of getting kicked from the event when you die, you continue to play. The game goes on until a team either reaches the point limit or the time runs out.

Alright... Here is my idea for a event(sorta). Some kind of picture game, like pictionary or maybe an artiest event where you gotta be judged on how well you draw stuff in a certain amount of time...

Another thing the bamboo Bow needs to be added to the ET shop... not really sure why it hasn't been released yet.

Events based on player/ET judging always ends up being biased in some way. :[

And adding ET items isn't exactly an event. But, it's an idea, I'll give you that.

I'm not exactly sure how to create that, but it's possible because I've seen it on other servers. The biggest problem you'd find though with an event involving something that has to be judged, is that the judges may be biased towards friends.

Well, not like normal tag where you run around touching people, but we have an event called "Tag". Basically, there's two teams, when you kill someone, they're "captured" and someone from your team is set free. Once an entire team is captured, they lose.

well what if you made this event so that you start by having 6 player draw or w/e then host part 2 of the event and have the whole server vote on the best drawing (the friends part is the only problem with this, it would just end up being a popularity contest)
First Place:2Ep
Second Place: 1Ep
Third Place: 100 free bullets to any gun (lol just making this up as I go)

The Pictionary would work out though... All you gotta do is get a topic and have a whole bunch of people guess the word the player is drawing.

The Bamboo Bow would be very fun... Make it have some armor piercing arrows and serous bleeding. You could make it use different types of arrows, Poison, electrified, fire, regular, Increased damage arrows and maybe some explosion type arrows... It's just a thought

Ever played iSketch? You could do something similar to that.

Each player gets a turn. They are given a word, and have to draw that thing. Players guess what it is. The players who guess it first get points, and the drawer gets points based on how many people guess it.

Wouldn't really work though, since people can IM/PM.

Perhaps an ET could do the drawings, and others guess.

I already started on it Yocas, But since they dont have any respect for my Events and they are to lazy to put scripts into them, i wont finish it.

Bigger Outbreak. In fact, that should be the only event. And it should be required to play everytime it's hosted. And it should be hosted 24/7.

I remember my favorite event was when Smu would host the "Poetry Contest" for a sweet prize. He'd give words you had to use in it, like people's names or "juice" or "butter" and random stuff like that. I won once

oh as for the pictionary thing, you should use like the moveable furniture script for houses and have people make their pictures out of era stuff. Like has anyone played that UMS game on starcraft that was like that? That would be so fun.

anyways why not fix old events and make new ones instead of just fixing old ones hmm?come on era needs varity
im thinking why not make a war event?where random bombs fall out of the sky and blow up and helicopters come out and shoot nyou kind of like Call of Duty 4,as for vechicles make new ones too

you might as well make them all. the more diverse events Era has the better. you don't need to focus on one specific one.
