item naming [mudlib]

obviously i need to create a way so it'll store each item as a new different flag, can anyone think of a good way of doing this?

Are talking about doing like a slot system where each item takes up a certain "item slot"? In that case just end each item slot variable with a number (item0, item1, item2, etc.).

A "unique" id for each item ... for example, each time you create a new item, serverr.itemid goes up by one, and that is the ID for that item.

but no, i like item0/1 depending on the players current item count, didn't see it like that, ty
