Zodiac has never EVER in its history has under gone this much development since its existence. I Would like to Give you a Heads Up on the NEW Zodiac Development Staff Team. We need opinions on what you would like to see on Zodiac.

Our Current Development Staff Team Consist of:
Mangers: Relic
Admins: MysticalDragon , Drander Scripters:Novo,DrakilorP2P,Twinny,warmaster70229(Z ach),Ajira,zokemon(Zero),Silica, *Alexander,Chompy(Alexander)
Developers:c0venant(Jakk),Drastic Vendetta,Neener,DustyPorViva,
Levels Admin:ice_king2002(Adrian), Vega001, LATs:,Sashima(Truzzie),Goddo,gemini2,Chyld0190,Dar kGustave,Kazuma(Exile),
Graphics Admin: Elk
Graphics:Forrgotten,myspacedude(Sy),Clockwork(Aeko ),Robert,
Ganis:Vareegas,khamul666,

In my opinion I think Zodiac has the best formed staff team, that graal has ever had in along time and Most of them need assignments. Our currently High active staff team is dedicated to developing for the players and bringing graal the greatest server that has ever existing on the classic tab.

Novo not sure if he still works there and Dusty is more of a FreeLancer on Zodiac.

If by development you mean 2 manager changes in the span of like a week or two then sure...

Managers are not the only ones that changed, the whole staff list was revamped to a better understanding. More activeness + Dedication = the ultimate team..

You've got way too many scripters, and I'm sure most of them are pretty inactive. Fire everyone who is inactive, that way you have the good scripters, who understand how the systems work, and know how to script well with them.

None of our scripters are inactive, your mistaken my friend. Only 2 of them Have FulL NPC Control on main, but yes all of our scripters are heavily active. Most playerworlds can't even find 1 scripter, Here on Zodiac we manage to have a active team in each department. There is no such thing as (To many Scripters). If there all working and trust worthy then where good to go.

Two manager changes in a week is the only "Summer Slam" I can think of in the 2 years Zodiac has been alive. Take all these developers and improve the quality of the server already. plz

I'm pretty sure this thread is about Zodiac's staff members. Unless your trying to say Delteria is planning something.

I could never find weak monsters reasonably close to the start building place. Can you make big signs?

No, I was talking to MD. I am saying Delteria is planning something huge, and I am also just wondering why this thread was made, seems really random.

I brought Zodiacs attention to the forums for multiple reasons. Zodiac has been complained about time in time out. Now that we have a good strong sturdy team we can focus on making those changes you players deem necessary. We are here to focus and Maintain our development on the player needs. So I figured I would start it, by seeing what the forums think ? What Zodiac Needs, what needs to be changed?

To Be honest With no Desrespect, I can careless about Delterias staff team, Zodiac is my main concern not Delteria.

Heh, last time Delteria planned something it was great for the first day. Then it fell into nothingness. Oh, and they wouldn't even replace a simple stolen floor tile.

MD, I don't mean to offend you but....two people on that list of scripters can't even really be considered necessary for developement when you apparently have Novo, Zero, and Chompy.

Do Novo and Drakilor actually do alot of coding on the server? Just out of my own curiosity.

Drakilor yes, Novo revamped a great amount of our systems and is now retired, Read the bottom of my Post. Ziro brought Drakilor to our attention so of course he is a help (Contribution) to zodiac.I don't understand why my thread is being derailed by dumb questions. My only concern is to bring Zodiac to the light, since its been in the dark for so long. Please still asking, I need opinions on What you would like to see on Zodiac. Questions such as, I don't want another Wow server isn't in enough details for me. Explain a little more in depth so I can understand and feel you.

However, here we have a team of great scripters who can understand the systems, make them more efficient and organise them into something better. Zach and Zero are already making plans to rescript the systems to be more efficient and allow more unique additions to gameplay.

There are only maybe two scripters on Graal who I'd even chance at working with, Chompy and and Inverness because in a sense they are who I learned from so I think the most like them coding wise.

As far as I'm concerned, the original Zodiac which Yen had coded wasn't really all that terrible as far as how his coding was. However, tons of scripters after him trying to understand the system screwed it over.

I have never been that big of a fan of Zodiac because it has never caught my interest like that. Zodiac was never innovative in any way at ALL. It is essentially another carbon copy RPG.

The best thing to do for Zodiac is for them to get a development server and completely recode the entire server into a more efficient setup and system. As well as re-draw quite a few things (those black menu's are disgusting). As I recall Ziro, Zero and Elk were doing that in there time. However, one thing led to another and so on, and so forth...

Either way, this is probably the smartest thing for Zodiac to do. On another note, you should also get some "Writers" for the server. Try to look for people with great imaginations that can design some interesting new things that branch off from the original "WoW-Carbon Copy" Zodiac. In an attempt to draw people to the server, copying off of something else is in no way attractive. Be unique!

But thats where the argument originated from? That different coders had different styles so they didn't work well together. Thats obviously bull****, and zodiacs staff work fine together.

Working together can be fine if you make sure you make your code is modular and heavily comment the inputs/outputs of each module. I'm making the item/player library on debug and I will be making sure that any current need is forfilled and there is plenty of room for changes/expansions. I will do my best to enforce that external scripts use the inputs rather then do it themselves.

I think it's better to have a few coders since it's emphasises the need for clean coding standards rather than sloppy single-purpose code that only the scripter can understand.

Agreed, I started to play Zodiac one day and every time i walked outside of OSL i got lammed by these high leveled losers who just sit there and do one hit wonders on everyone. -_- then i stopped playing zodiac

I thought newbies had newbie protection? There are also different routes out of OSL.
