It should be read only, no matter your folder rights, but allow you to append things to the end of the filename (e.g. rename rclog.txt to rclog june 22 08.txt)\

This already exists for some logs.

No write rights for logs/rclog.txt

What about logs saved with savelog(2)? Are those supposed to be uneditable too?

They should be, in my opinion, though, at least the default ones so that globals or whoever else will know that they haven't been tampered with.

Things like cheatwindows, gralatlog, npclog, speedhacklog, etc.
