Low Poly Tutorial

Well as some people (3) thought it would be nice... here it is!

The zip contains 26 steps (as screenshoots) with commentary how to create a mighty Shakram sword in 3D xD (so all credits goes to Shakram

)
Also the actual 3d file, texture and reference.

well the more vertexes the more polygons so I guess not, but should try to keep it down if you want to make low poly

muh used my tiles from my "inside tiles" thread :O

i have totally probs with the out-side-in thing on faces
the reverse vertex order changes nothing

try using smooth aswell might solve it

Also you might want to turn off texture smoothing or whatever it is.

Id support a graal 3d looking like this.

Its far hotter then any g3d screenies I have seen so far and fits to the style of graal very good.

I'm pretty sure the problem lies more in the scripting aspect. I am sure there are plenty of people that, with enough time, could make 3d characters and items.

Good luck coding that. Graal doesn't support 3D objects yet. If it did, I woulda made a 3D server a LONG time ago.

Wouldn't be that hard I guess.

Change viewpoint perspective to birds eye, adjust angle and fix roll/yaw/height.
Show a 2d object and put tiles on it
Make funny little side on players and project them at an odd angle
Do the same for all objects

I don't understand how the faces work. I added faces but it didn't look anything like yours.

I am having a problem with the faces as well. Except right now i am in the part where you have the two different views and you have to connect them by faces and like i choose 3 vertexes and the press f and it says "please select exactly 3 vertices!"

a screenshoot of it would help but if you already have snaped together some vertexes use "weld together" while having the 3 vertexes selected that you want to create a face of.

but if not, be sure to be in 3d mode while you are creating the faces so you can easily see if you have selected some extra vertexes by mistake.

How do I select the whole image to screen shot it? When I take a picture it turns white.

try turning the flash off? xD just kidding

just press "print screen" and ctrl + v in ms paint then save.
