Zone 3D!

omg like omg wouldn't it be kick ass with zone 3d? with planets like on mario galaxy (well maybe way bigger xD) and small space ships and aiming! no random shooting at 8 dirs!

and when you first make your char you choose what team you want to belong to and then you always fight for that team, can have their own main base where you can buy stuffs then the two teams (easier to balance just 2 teams I guess) war for ground and stuff! can maybe create cool vehicles like space ships, those robot thingys and tanks that can be used in super epic battles.

maybe have some other things beside the team waring like classic rpg dungeons but you shoot your way tho rather then using sword and magic, could be some cool alien/bug-ish things as monsters I guess.

3D would change how you play Zone. It wouldn't work.

They can't even finish the 3D test servers they're making.
(I know they probably could, but they haven't at this point -- I didn't mean to imply that they are not capable).

Agreed. If they cant finish Graal 3D, i doubt they can finish/do this..

Maybe if they did 2d images to look 3d and a small amount of the flying technology for ramps and things. Helicopter would be nice, but once again, give the higher levels an edge over everyone else. Unless you mounted mini chain guns to them?

Unless of course, an independent team were found to do it. Even then, it takes years upon years to make a 3D mmorpg.

Don't think I'm trying to put your idea down Galdor. It is a very cool idea. But if it's to succeed, it needs lots of work.

Maybe when the 3D server gets some more options (scriptwise) we can try to make one 3D planet or so. It can perhaps be put next to the other 2D planets. We cannot know what it'd look like without trying

3D doesn't really need any more options, it just need more models, textures and graphics which there is all of about 3 people on Graal that make such.

And Dan, I don't think it would work to place the 3D world next the the 2D with the way the 3D gservers are set up. 2D and 3D can't run together.

I personally prefer old school Zone over 3d anyday. Although, right now, I barely recongize Zone at all, so feel free to kill it even more ^-^

Graal 3d is not that lagy now, there was some bug that made it lag before but me and steffy solved that.

Seeing as you were part of the 3D Team you might know. However I think it is pretty rude to say that 3D can never succeed when you just gave up on it. I bet there are people who are still working on it. I think it is kind of a slap in the face that you quit and are now trash talking it when they are devoting a large amount of their time and energy to the development of the project that you gave up on.

I hate 3D Games now.
I definitively hate 3D
2D an graal-style FTW.

Graal has a pretty small community compared to other games, but right now I spent 6 years on it and it's still making me stay.
Games like graal should never dissepear, I just love this.
