Zone Racetrack

Dear community!

We are working on some amazing racetrack for Zone, it's being built on Zone Debug and currently contains 10 different (big sized) racetracks already on only one map! The map type we're using is Iricia's, the racetrack will go through different locations on Iricia (passing base 1, the Storm Riders base, Sweep Fleet base, etc). We are planning to release it this weekend (probaly on Saturday) and by this thread I announce that once we've tested it and it's working fine, we will host off some Red Pistole(s) maybe

.

Make sure you stay around on Zone and don't miss the release.

Good news to hear, I am looking forward to seeing this work out online. One Question will there be scripts for laps? To say which Lap you are on, and such?
And will there be some type of script that will tell you the winner? Or will an ET need to be present and count the laps, and such?

nice :o nice to see a rather decent update that can only be good

, there should be some form of stats for it, like best times ect? and maybe you could use in game zone money to customise the look of your personal speeder, PIMP MY RIDE!

will this be like deathmatch style, where you wit in the dropship for the rce to start and are warped at the end?

only problem i forsee is when lots of people get in a race, and the lag cuts in, it will gie those with worse computers less chance, but i suppose thats something you just have to deal with

Tracks will change. Right now I've added 11 different tracks which randomize from short to middle to extremely large. Weapons are disabled, as we also removed the HP from vehicles being used on this racemap.

In the first "release" of the racemap we will just make it function as it should, later on we can work on some timer and some scoreboard I guess. We might make people able in the future to set up races by themselves, but I'd need to work out ideas for that.

There won't be laps, it will just be a oneway track, though we could add that later I guess.

There will be a startline and a finishline script, it will check who has passed first and will announce him/her as the winner of the race.

How will we get there and will we automatically be in a bike and will we be able to get out of the bike and is shooting going to be enabled?

Shooting - disabled.
Bikes - not automatically, but can do.
Get there - a window will popup asking if you want to join or not.

i think a deathmatch style dropship would be suitable for races.

you could probably whats done on Graal Kingdoms. Make one bike that just respawns after like 5-7 seconds so others can take.

that way ET's don't have to spawn and ppl can just take them and line up.

hmm a derby but if your vehicle is destroyed your automatically warped to a spectator area.
