It's been possible to exit it since at least Beta 2. It's also pretty dynamic, so it's silly to call it useless when its potential hasn't even been explored much yet. I haven't had much trouble playing games on Vista, with the notable exception of Graal, which works fine now.

McAffee for me, although a slight CPU ***** it is still one of the best of it's kind out there.

Back to the topic of Vista & Graal.

I swear that V5 was promised to fix all these Vista related issues, kinda lame.

To be fair, if I was in Stephane's seat (Unixmad), I think I would be more concerned about the majority of his users and what they use rather than the minority (which at this stage of time is Vista).

Not everyone has gone to Vista, so maybe they're thinking about XP still until Vista itself becomes a more reliable Operating System choice.

I envy you so much.

On topic, I'd say save your lunch monies and buy yourself XP, and have a switch-operating system on your computer. I'm sure as long as your father can have his Vista he'll be fine, and when 2011 comes around and Vista > XP users in Graal.

Maybe XP will "accidentally" remove all of Vista's files, hopefully.

98 was so easy though, DOS was the best. So much easier to just type in commands for games then having to move with the keyboard and aim with the mouse.

Thats if you knew the commands :P

The OEM version of DOS must have been a nightmare for newbie users. And the internet would have barely existed back then.

DOS hasn't really changed since the first version. Alot of the OS GUI is just using an underlying DOS command anyways .
