Now in this deepened time of sorrow comes yet another great tragity, as Alan the great leader steps down. And is replaced with what? But a USDer who idles in trade and another USDer who disappears for 2 months after being called "active".

Now in this final hour we have what? Do no kingdoms truely remain now? I believe a mistake has been made, for I believe you will all see it true before the end. Felix held not even the rank of Commander, skipping several key ranks to become leader, whilst Yann, after quitting and claiming Graal Kingdoms stunk on ice(and I agree) comes back and instantly is rewarded. Bah I say, all here know there was really only one choice in this leadership, and not be it I, but you all know who it was.

Now I know I may mean nothing to the Pirate people as most new members wont know me, and the elder members may think of me as a traitor but hear this, The kingdom will regret these actions, events will deminish, the kingdom will decay, and your people will quit.

If you dislike my words dont read them, if you dislike my warnings dont heed them. The choice is yours for your kingdom, let it deminish or let it survive.

Personally I would have settled for a Paul/Proto combo, both are active enough to watch eachothers backs, Proto is just a bit too "Rpish". But then agian being a Pirate needs RP.

Its agianst common policy to let someone skip to such a high rank, I've never known Felix to be and more "Extraordinary" than anyone else. I think Alan could have easily made a better choice.

He joined CP almost 2 years and half ago. He was Mayor for 9 months before he got Governor. I thought, once you were an active Mayor for 4 months, you get Commadore.

I stand beside Alan's choices. Alan was the Governor he chose the people he thought best to lead CP. Felix is very active and a good leader.

As for Yann's absence, sorry but real life comes before games. Read his post about his absence.

There were many people who deserved to be Governor, including Sage, Paul, Proto and Chris Woods. However, Felix is the one who has the most consistant active GK participation and is in the prime of his career, where some others are too busy irl or have had waning interest.

Common policy? Before this well considered hand off including a week of nominations (of which Felix got the most), common policy was to sell CP for USD or give it to a buddy not even in the kingdom!

Extraordinary? Personally I prefer a leader who is solid, dependable, loyal *coughs at Ricky*, helps the members and loves to sail and fight. Whether or not it was the best possible choice, I am satisfied CP is in good hands. But one thing I learned as Governor, is that no matter what choices you make in any matter, you will have Monday morning quarterbacks who say they could have done better.

I see it offtopic, either way I didnt scam him, I lent him my Fid and zormite shield whilst I took a break and played zone, I came back he wanted to keep them but I took them back(after like 2 months) he claimed I scammed him but I clearly lent them to him. Staff never got involved because they were my items to begin with. But really I'd much rather stay with the subject here.

Even so I think even he knows he could have choosen better, Dont get me wrong I dont hate Yann or Felix, I dont think anyone here does, I just dont see him fit to rule. Everyone I talked to before gov was picked ATLEAST said Felix shouldnt be gov, if not that they said Paul should be gov. As I said Proto would have been good too. When I spoke to Felix about being gov, I asked him what he could do for the kingdom, what made him better than everyone else. His reply "I have good leadership skills" Everything else was "dunno" or something along those lines, EVERY mayor/commodore/commander has "good leadership skills" I want to see someone with more than that as leader.


Yann... well he clearly hates GK, hes told me before. Hes probably not coming back, he'll probably quit AGIAN. Or he might leave the kingdom 'for kicks' agian.

Felix's prime was him having his perfect USD set, now Alan I love ya and all but not this choice. I've known you to make the right choice, and you know me to point out mistakes, so far with his leadership I've seen him idling in trade, no different then anyone else.

loyal? agian, Yann has quit GK, left CP, and yelled at anyone who trys to talk to him, I cant even get close to that person anymore. I laughed when I saw this thread title. CP begins to fall? They barely even took their seats as Governor, and already things are going bad? It's way too soon to make a judgement like that, but i know that wasn't your point anyways.

Believe it or not, USDing does not make someone a poor Governor. Refer to the thread "GK Fails" and then you'll see good reasons as to why people have to USD in this game. I don't know if they bought items with USD or not, and I also don't care. If they did, I'd be jealous that they're able to acquire things so easily, but I wouldn't go around saying they're terrible Governors.

Skipping ranks... why does that matter? You don't work your way up to Governor directly through ranks believe it or not. I think it would be terrible if things worked that way. A Governor should be the best candidate possible. The candidates should be anyone in the kingdom. If Ghost Pirate came back to Graal today and had the rank "Pirate". I'd say he's the best candidate. And it works both ways. I think someone can work their way up to Commander and still be someone who should not even be considered for Governor.

Okay, so, while I don't know Yann's story, you seem to have a good argument there. But, oh well... we still have Felix. Personally, I don't agree with the idea of 2 Governors anyways.

And he certainly hasn't been idleing. He might be in bomb trade. But he's there, at the computer and talking to people. He's also been doing a lot of maps lately, so he is hardly in bomb trade. And if you do see him in bomb trade saying "BRB" in the corner. It's because we have a 2 year old sister that we are contasntly running around after.

First off, have you forgotten how many acc's I have? My activity is irrelevent, that aside, I have word from many pirates that he idles alot. Now normally I wouldnt mind, as just about every other leader idles, but Yann and Felix were picked BECAUSE of their activity. One idles one is gone, thats active? Believe you me, Alan had plenty of family things going on im sure but he was plenty more active than that. Now I cant say I know 100% sure he had more going on but I know he had plenty of problems but managed to lead a full active term.

Rank has been a major thing, as Alisa said to me once, for no reason should anyone skip ranks to commander or Gov(or Governess). Smaller ranks sure, even commodore I can understand, as I've seen people skip to that alot. I can understand Loyalty, but to skip to such a degree, not acceptable, infact if Staff werent so narrow minded, and had this been a few years ago they themselves may have looked into it. Was Alan a mayor? Yes, was Alan a commander? Yes, was Alan a clear cut winner? no, even he had a close race for gov.

However now is not then, we need to realize that with todays declining population we need leaders who are player friendly, and by that I mean not USD friendly, Yann gets mad easily, speaks little english, and is inactive, Felix is often short tempered, ignores PM's and logs off when he gets too many. We need someone(s) who can look to the people and smile, someone who can really stick up for the little guy. Both Paul and Proto listen to those kind of things, both are plenty active and care for the kingdom.

Dont you think all the members leaving is a sign? You've made a mistake, now fix it.

He never got the chance the get trained, he never got the chance to become Commadore. He was Mayor for 9 months, and Councilman for 6 months before that.
He spent over a year looking after a town. Repairing houses. Doing what he needed to do. Im am suprised he never got a rank up to Commadore. I though he deserved it months ago.

He should be looking over the fleet, fixing up the towns(since there is only 1-2 mayors now) recruiting, changing ranks, setting up new rules, giving players projects to work on, training new mayors, there is plenty more he should be doing than just pming friends.
