Kingdoms needs a Miracle Worker.

We blind here on GK would like to see, thanks.

And don't give me any crap about turning weather effects off. Believe it or not, there are some people out there who like to enjoy the weather, but don't want to accidentally run headlong into a building.

Also: The mines have a similar problem. (As do houses.)

Mines are dark, yes. But for houses you just need to craft some lamps and lighten them up and voila.

They don't stay lit, and torches aren't always around to get them lit up.

Is it me or do the mines not really look that dark...? I can see everything quite clearly in that screenshot.

If those was truely mines, without torches, it would flat out dark...

Now what we see there is some torches, with torches around, wouldn't the area for quiet a few inches...FURTHER then the bloom be lit up as well?

It's not bloom. Its transparent images made into lighting effects with a seteffect in place.

I know that.

Anyway, like I said, just need someway to emulate a real mine, with realistic torch lighting.

I still don't see a problem with the mines. I did see how the first screenshot outside was too dark, but the mines seem fine. Maybe it could help to look up some gamma tests and make sure your black levels are adjusted right? Or just see if your contrast/brightness are both up to 100% on your monitor.
