Kart Race bug.

After you pass the fourth checkpoint you can get off your kart, run over to where you get karts, get one, go through the finish line and win the race. Your checkpoint status should be cleared when you get off your kart.

You can probably do the same thing in a horse race.

Paul sucks compared to me, just watch, he'll be back and i'll still own. And the kart bug just enhances your time depending on your walking speed, mine is decent and with a 1:08 time it'll be 1:05 - 1:06

I have never seen you get 1:08 only about 1:24.

Edit: Paul is back today so when Kart gets fixed Leon better look up.

Being able to get a better time when you're "racing" alone doesn't necessarily make you the better kart racer. You can do things when you're racing alone, like time your start so that you cross the starting line at full speed just as it says "go!", that would wouldn't be able to do in a real kart race. You also have to do things like pass and block attempted passes in a real kart race that you don't have to do when you race alone.

Anyways, in case anybody thinks I'm the "best" kart racer, I'm not. Leon and Paul are both better. Not to the point that it would be impossible for me to beat them in any given race, but if we were to race, say, ten times, they would win more races than I would.

My kart race score varies. If I'm by myself my average is 1.18-19 but If Im racing with others my average is 1.23-25.

Yes paul is back, but he failed to take into consideration is router and adapter speed and is now lagging 2hard2comprimise. And i will beat paul, in events and in our own private race.

Yea, times that you race alone don't prove that much, racing in an event is alot tougher, you could have a fault in your start and be 5 seconds behind the race leader, or even behind several people, overtaking them in that short 1 minute - 2minute lap is harder than just cruising solo around the track.

Oh and i thought of 2 ways to fix the kart bug, EM's should have a command to cancel the spawn of karts once the race has started, this would clearly prevent cheating.
Another way is to asign each spawned kart with a set code that is given to the account of the player that has taken the kart, when you pass the go in a race (with a prize and it actually counting down) your kart will be recorded as passing checkpoints 1,2,3 and 4, therefore leaving your kart to cheat would asign you a different kart with a different code which has not been found to have crossed all four checkpoints, this way is alot more technical but it's a good solution.

How about as soon as the race starts they disappear until 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners finish the race?

Yes, but then you would have to wait for "all" racers to be ready and some are very slow at getting ready. It'd still work as well as my other two sugestions though, and proberbly an easier task for staff

Well as easy as it sounds you have to remember the scripting that will be with yours. A simple one of the extra karts disappearing when "Go" shows up would be nothing. And we EM's can be patient if it means waiting for ppl to be ready.

Ok Updated some scripts to clear the checkpoints for the player when you enter a kart or leave a horse, needs to be tested though.

I tried it out aswell, seems to be fixed, haven't tried horse but if the same changes were made there should be no reason for it to not work.
