Some stuff

Boredom reigns... so I thought I'd pixel again and this is what my doodling resulted in. Dunno if I'll keep working on it, maybe, depending on how I feel. Thought I'd try to stray away from realistic tiling for a change and mess around with another kind of style. Anyways, crack away at it if you like.
(by the by, I do notice the bottom of the shrub blends in with the grass... I just don't have an easy way of messing around with the colour of it right now.)

Nice :O another awesome pixel artist. You should so finish the cliff, it would look amasing if they have a little more work on them

You should give the cliffs a texture, they look pretty weird right now.

I'm not exactly sure what to do with the cliffs right now. I'm not sure how to give them some texture without really stepping over the limit for the style. I'll probably try to do something like I did with the block.

Well this is what I've got with the cliff as far as detailing it goes.
(EDIT: there, finished the cliffs completely.)

Cliffs looks nice and simple, 3 colors from what I see. Same colors Elk used in his unfinished rock boss thing.

Well the first one was 3 colors, but in the edit I added more to give the a bit more depth. And as far as same colors go, I used no references, colors are hand-picked.

(EDIT: Added some stuff, fence, flower, rock... I'm really starting to run out of ideas.)

STOP READING MY THOUGHTS.

And that's really hot. You should make a tileset with that style. Reminds me of Fai's pixeling.

Came up with this... not sure what I'm going to do with it. Large spaces like the house roof and wall are really hard to fill when you're trying to go with minimal detail and simplistic style... Anyways, ya a lot of the colors are the same and they're just fillers to give it shape and give me an idea of what's what. Still a lot of work to do with this.

You'll note that the lines of Sonic vary in width, which implies depth and contour (they're called contour lines). You'll also note they aren't limited to the outside but also define inner-objects (such as his eyebrows, for example).

And I'm suggesting if you simply state your outline is artistic it's ok, waiting for you to disprove it with a reason so my n00b head would learn. ;[

Heres the thing, those dont look like cliffs, they look like rocks sticking up out of the ground.small rocks at that. Then you put water over those small rocks and it just does not look right.

I don't get it. In your first post you say the cliffs look nice and simple, now you're saying they don't look like cliffs? They haven't changed since I posted them before, so I don't exactly understand.

The cliffs are Pretty nice... The only things I cant point out is that they lack detail, but since that is the style you're going for, the only other thing I can point out is that the cliffs themself look like rocks just pertruding from the ground, they dont have the depth of being cliffs. When I say they dont have the depth of being cliffs, I mean that it doesnt look as if they have a top to them (looks like grass with a layer of rocks going across it). It should look more like the grass above the cliffs is actually above it instead of behind it. But other than that... Keep it up man.

Edit: Did a quick edit of the upper cliffs just to give you an idea of what i meant.

Yeah, I'd say make it look like grass is creeping over the tops onto the front a little bit.

Problem is (was) you're looking down on the bottom cliffs, and up on the top cliffs.

Sort of like this:

The perspective like...takes a dip, or something?
