Again I am the closest thing to a gp right now. I get at least 5 problems a day brought before my attention. but yeah maybe they should be combined..cept gp..that takes rc access.

It's not that I need to upload a new gfx. It's that I need to download one.
Alan said the GFX for the Golden Hook is broken. So He asked me to fix it.

On Debug you can create items, so create it and the image is automatically saved on your harddisk this is no secret.

I do believe that there are some temp folders on debug, just make one specifically for people like him. So they can upload images, get approved by someone, and get moved to the respected folder.

LATs should have read access to the graphics folder.

Also, you shouldn't need rw access to the gmap. Just edit the levels... :/

Couldn't he just get a gmap copy so he can put it on his comp to use to fix the levels that he needs too?

Read what I said before
http://forums.graalonline.com/forums...1&postcount=36
You would see that everything you said is already that way except the GFX thing for downloading. But everyone can get the GFX just have a look on your harddrive and there it is.

You have to view the images ingame, before you download them to your HD, or am I wrong?

I think they are talking about the same thing just in different ways. Fayt/Gothika is talking about the Gmapped levels, not the actual gmap file I think. Bjorn is talking about the actual Gmap.

As for the topic of this thread, most of the GPs had EM rights. I know some EMs had rights to pillor for event disturbances. Maybe EMs should be allowed to detain someone if they are doing something wrong and no-one else is on. They'd just need to report it later via pm or forum pm.

It will be much easyier to have read only rights to the GFX folder than go looking for the GFX in your graal folders.

I think there is some confusion here with Fayt and Bjorn xD I think Fayt means he needs the pirates gmap files and bjorn believes he means the other main gmap? :o maybe?

Well otherwise I dont understand whats going on, I have the gmap files on debug so I dont see why Fayt wouldnt? Although he is a different kingdom

Yeah, I want it so I can get to work on a new town. I'd like the have the pirates gmap so I can use the Scrolling Eiditor script to make the town all at once instead of gaving to open 20 seprate levels.

wrong, when i was in forest dev, we asked stefan for stuff, he would say yes get stuff from bjorn.

We would talk to bjorn... he would say, thats the stupidest idea. no.

and we tell him stefan said yes and he just ignores us.

so we have to bug stefan until he gives it to us?

so you can't go into rc and download all the gmap files for cp? you should have the rights to do this. if not alan can download them and send them to you. he should have all the rights to cp.

after you open a gmap file in your editor, do you know how to get the gmap to appear?
there are a few scripts needed.

I'm not sure, but it may be different with terrain GMAPs.

I'm not sure if I had a gmap or not, but I did have access to all of forest levels, graphics, temp folder, and another folder. I just downloaded them all and used the command, probably setmap or something, I don't know anymore, but it worked nonetheless. meh

Anyway, there should be a few "staff" that have RC and they should also be extremely knowledgeable of the GK rules, GraalOnline Code of Conduct, Terms, and Privacy Agreement. They should also have an advanced knowledge of the server itself, as to assist people with their questions. Like someone else said, you can compress them into one position to cut down on the people you need.

Like it or not, Stefan needs to give someone access to to change mudlib information and near unlimited ftp access to control content on the server, and also on debug. I'm sure it won't be that hard to do if Loriel and Jagen could do it.

I do not believe anyone was "Manager" of the server, Gold servers don't have them. Though they do have Admins, sometimes with lots of access, like Loriel and Jagen (I think he had access to mudlib, might have been taken from him, I know he had access to everything else, and testbed, etc).

your thinking of lance and jagen. I miss those days. they actually evented rare items off to people. sometimes the items were a little overboard.

Like some items ja*** made for Ak* like the angel shield, god fingers, some crazy rings that took all stats to 30. oh yeah and a cauldron +5

I'll give you guys one guess who those items went to after she got the boot.... see who can quess it. lol

I know quite a few people who used cauldron +5 to lvl mental real fast.

gmap = forest.GMAP

Now I finally figured out what you guys want. You want the overworld levels.

That's a difference... If you know the difference it might be the wrong place for you. But you guys should not complain if you ask for something you don't even want and we say no to it. lol
If you want the levels for the overworld say that clearly next time and not just I want the gmap file...

I thought it was quite clear to. You want the GMAP to connect the levels. It's a heck of a lot easier I guess then making one from scratch. They don't understand our english I guess...

I would assume, if he did that, you and he were friends. Which makes this unusual - you would know he was technically savvy, and that the coding of Stefan may fail to meet Loriel's technical wit.

Anyone who knows Loriel slightly will likely understand the above babble.

Yeah, but I do believe he actually had it. Maybe I'm wrong, but it would have taken him a very long time to write a code to do such a thing, if it was even possible, and he honestly don't think he would of taken the time to do that when he hardly liked the server himself... ;o

Oh well.

According to stefan he was manager. We would ask stefan question and he would be like good idea, but you have to ask bjorn it's his server, his decision...

I know of a specific incident in which he... used... a bug in a certain system to spawn any item he wished, even custom ones.

Why do you keep doing this Tig. Stop coming after me. You talk of growing up. Your the one who needs it. I am at least not sniping you every chance I get or changing your rank on Dustari for a "joke". Grow up dude.
