Thumbs down Server Gameplay re-do.

I've seen even the best statted players complain about the lack of competition with a sword. Graal kingdoms is suppose to be a fantasy medevil warfare game, just like zone is a futuristic shooter.

Stats really ought to be left to the monsters and so on.
I'm not saying totally arcadise the stat system! not as all!
I'm just saying change the stats slightly so everybody has a chance to die by a sword. I mean, I've hit players with high ac, and no armour on. That would not happen in most other games.

If u stabbed somebody, they are hurt. They don't just stand there looking at you! I find it unfair that you can get stats so high you enter god-mode.
Its unrealistic and pardon my french.. but pretty ****ty.
I mean, if you fire an arrow and it hits a guy, doesn't matter what armour they got it would still hurt them. No arrow would bounce off you unless you had a shield to block you.

Ac should not make players enter god-mode, fair enough protect them and make them a challenge to kill but at least allow all players to get hurt!

The reason wars are boring is because so few players can get involved.
Most players like myself personally cannot be bothered to level this, level that. I'd rather be doing more important things like spending time with my girlfriend, watching movies, going to concerts, nightclubbing. Graal kingdoms requires too much attention and is becoming a pain in the ass.

Why dont you use magic in a war? thats what i done when i was not good at melee.

Great, so when I buy items that will make me faster in combat it doesn't matter because were all going to be moving slow.

I like my speed in battle its really high and it helps me win battles.

Well to be honest HEAL and RESTORATION now do the same thing...

that aside...

New COMBAT UPGRADES!? This seems to be what I have been wishing for! I can hardly wait! Maybe my reflect magic amulet will actually reflect magic now (like it used to *sob*).

I hope magic does not get nerfed but I sure hope they add more spells! I love spells! There could never ever be enough spells! There could also could never be enough weapons.

Depending on how drastic of a change there is . also there isn't really a wide variety of monsters. There physical attacking system is really "big" compared to the moster selection. If you weren't a pker there wouldn't be a point to get over +5 on your armor.

I think speed doesn't need to be nerfed.
Speed doesn't make battles fair or unfair. A slow person can beat a fast person. It's all about the AC/WC.

I have just got Angel Shield of Darkness and Gale armour to have high speed in battle so now i have just got them items for nothing.

That is true, if you have good speed but the other guy dont have good speed you can still beat some guy with 5.9 speed in battle but you only got 5.5 speed. Yes speed helps but it dont need to be nerfed.

Don't change speed! Keep it the same, that is a bad idea please don't stop speed. I have 2.4 speed at the moment and i'm more than happy... if I wanted speed I would get speed stuff. Do not nerf speed!1111

Yeah, when I equip my RoEs and battle with magic I have a slow speed but really good skills to compensate for that. The speed should not be changed at all, thats really silly I think !

I know, and that's gonna be fixed by the 'Slashback' system, a bit like on Classic...it'll be great for RPing and will be a tad more realistic. When someone hits you, you fall back a bit.

The problem with speed is that you can't really fight. A good battle needs warriors, archers and magicians. With having the current system of speed a warrior can run over the screen in one second, making it impossible for archers to hit them and reducing the list of useful spells for magician drastically. We have tested the new system with warriors and archers, and it works quite well. What we still need to add is having ac and wc influence the hitpoints taken (currently its just always 5 hp) and make magic work fine. Basicly what we have worked on is making a classic-like fighting system and need to move it a little bit more to the kingdom-style, using stats. The system for players vs monsters will not be changed though. Also your speed value is still making you faster, but not as fast as before.

Ok here a list of modifications:
- different hit calculation: less effect of wc,ac etc.
- shields block attacks from the front
- limited speed in battles
- arrow shooting: more freeze time (for the archer), takes more hp per successful shot
- sword faster in idle mode (already online)
- push back when being hit

are you going to nerf magic?
So Im guessing you guys would plan it at about 2.2 speed? im just guessing.

How are you going to lower speed in battle? How is the server going to tell if your in battle or not.

You better not make it so speed will go down in bmode when im in bmode i don't battle all the time.

And now i have about 6.066 speed in battle and people don't care if im fast even when they use magic, i find it easy to hit people with high with magic you just need to know how to do it.

And what about these items:

Monkey Sandals of Gust
Angel Shield of Darkness
Gale Armour
Soccers

All them times are made for 30 dex in battle so if speed will go down in battle these items are now worthless

I REALLY LIKE THE IDEA of shields actually blocking from the front. That is such a fantastic freaking combat achievment for this server. You have no idea how long and how much this was needed. That alone will make combat so amazing for PVP on this server. The knockback is going to be a total smash hit as well!

Well played Stefan. (don't mean to brown-nose i swear)

However this all sounds arena-only, I would like it to go into regular PVP as well! Could you also block magical attacks? Or maybe reduce damage a bit by blocking with a shield?

Or *ahem* when dual-wielding is implemented... maybe you could parry and knockback the attacking player? ...?

Magic Attacks should not be blockable by shields. However, it would be nice if reflection were made to work and put on some shields.

My girlfriend is a pain in the ass too
Just cause i go out nightclubbing, go to the occasional bfmv, lostprophets concerts that pop up and like to go out often, i do like my nights in aswell where i watch Tv and play online games, graal being one of them.

Why not complain? I've played graal before i could do any of those and now that i have less time on this game its making it hard for me to stay playing.

Shields should still block from behind, but it should be based on block percentage/chance. Greater chance to block from the front, less from the back.

Unless your character physically has their shield on their back (Like when holding a bow) it would make no sense to do that.
