Well, think about it. If rights were given and Stefan needed to check later on the behaviour of the server's manager, what would be the most immediate way for him to know about most of it? Not only can he confer with the manager, but he can also check scripts or have others check, (GSTs, maybe?) and can even ask players every once in a while. Players and scripts hold a lot of truth in them, even if a manager lies.
It's a lot better to take chances and sometimes make mistakes than to do nothing at all and hope things improve.
One time Unix logged onto Kingdoms on client to talk with players about some of the things being planned, like the flash games and so on. He got their opinions on it, and quite honestly, I was tickled. I thought to myself, "This is what should be happening all the time." After that, it was back to the same tired drudge, but I won't forget it.
