join() params

Would it be possible to make join() able to use params? Example:

PHP Code:

join("classname", "foo");
function onCreated(param1)
{
  if (param1 == "foo") //blah
} 


[Novo]

PHP Code:

...
this.param1 = "foo";
...

function onCreated()
  {
  echo( this.param1 );
  }

That works, but, it would be nicer with a built-in function.
