PWA Activity.

I see Houdiniman is active.. isn't there Bjorn and Vulcan aswell?

First of all, why the hell is Vulcan PWA (or so I hear) and Global Guild Admin?

Who cares god, PWA have always and forever will be useless. If they do help you its a good chance they are friends with you anyways.

Reusing and Recycling globals (Ex: Using them multiple times in multiple places, and giving them a Free card back to global life if they leave on good terms and come back) is a lot easier then hunting out new people, and thus, thats the answer for Vulcan at least, and was the case for many past globals, and is the case for many others still

As for activity a requesite of being a global is not a number of hours online helping people.

The bold part is interesting and both true and not at the same time. PWA wasnt always usless, back when Genmo was running it, it was VERY Efficient, even Vincent was damn good (Though Vincent never let me on the team after i finished the application and got hired by genmo before he left grr ). Aftershock even did a decent job.

They started getting usless right around Nemesis, everyone knowes why, so i wont even discuss it.

Globals have never really had really high standards set by the Directors though, and the Admins of the Playerworld Team have usually been more then lax on enforcing rules to the team and getting them on things.

If you are friends with a PWA though you can almost always guarantee youll get instant anything, reviews, help for stolen content, etc, before anyone else.

Although this question is discussed more then a million times a week I think in almost any given thread, nothing will change.

As for whoever said that they don't need to be online for a certain amount of hours a week.. I know this, I was just wondering if Bjorn was even around anymore?

When are people going to realize that starting threads really isn't going to do anything. If you are having a specific issue with the PWA take it up with Stefan or Unix, none of us can help you.

I agree with who said Vincent was good. Kronan was a good Asst. to him, also.

That statement alone would can confuse some people. , but yea, what Andy0687 stated was very true. Unfortunatly, trust is a big problem while trying to take in a new PWA or any Global position for that matter.

I really miss the long, elaborate posts of reviews of servers from the old PWA's like Jinx and Torankusu. It showed the community what was up and coming. There have been quite a few servers put on the Hosted server, and a new server (Zodiac) but on the classic list. I really don't think it would take that much effort to do it.

Reviews on private servers wanting to get on hosted would be a nice feature too.

I agree. PWA's could easily do this (Create a review) on request of the playerworlds Manager (s) and then post them, or the Manager (s) could create one themselves, submit it to a PWA, and wait for the review to be posted.

I don't really blame the PWA for inactivity. Stefan and unixmad have not layed out a requirement for all classic servers to either stay classic or rules they have to abide to.

For example there are basic rules like no stolen **** but there is nothing about quality anymore. How did Zodiac pass? I am still wondering, it's only the gameplay. But what ever happened to quality? In the summer of 2002 when they revived Bravo, it was fun and everyone played it. But then the PWA said that they have to make the server look more up to date because it was too old.

How could they say this and today let low quality servers have their way? Vulcan is busy, he's in IB. I feel his pain, Bjorn is sometimes on and Houdiniman is active. These people SEEM to help friends, but you also gotta realize why. Because not much is happening on Graal anyway to begin with. And when something happens, and someone doesn't know a PWA member, he doesn't BOTHER REPORTING IT TO THE SUPPORT DESK OR BOTHER CONTACTING ANYONE. It only seems like they help friends because friends actually report **** to them.

To fix PWA they need to promote someone to PWA Admin and lay a basic guideline on classic servers. It's not like PWA have authority on development servers because they have money to protect them, they apparently don't have any power on classic, and have no power on Gold servers. That leaves classic servers and no one is forcing people to do ****. Do you know how easily Clash shrugs off PWA? It's a joke!

I completely agree with that. As Ibonic stated a couple of months ago, something was going to be done to the PWA Team (An addition or promotion i think), but they want Lyndzey present at the meeting, so i guess their just going to wait for her to return (Im not even sure where she even went).

There are no private servers who are even close to being complete. Just one hundred and so broken projects...

All global admins, excluding stefan and unixmad, are players, They are not payed by cyberjeurors they are volunteers. Also yes they can connect to any RC "I believe even gold servers" but the only powers they have by default is warpto, disconnect, and ban. they cannot access any files, scripts, rights, server options, well pretty much anything, you have to give them the rights to do this. Really if anything the global rights system should be updated, such as, the Global Scripting Team, should have access to scripts on every server, and the PWA should probably have access to all files so they can take care of stolen content. Also graal probably needs more global admins so that rules, and aide is more available, I am not talking about giving dozens of people full global rights, but having aides to globals, such as someone with a the current global admin rights power, who can log on any server and attempt to help them with whatever problem they are having, if they are unable to do so they contact a full global to solve the issue. Plus with these Global Aides in place the communication from local admin to global admin should be eased by having crap filtered out, I assume one of the reason globals dont always reply to messages from normal graal players is because these messages are completely illegible not everyone speaks idiot.

PS, My message might not make much sense, but then again I am tired and distracted at the moment.

i dissagree
giving PWAs these rights from the get go can lead to trouble on ice, and ive seen it happen. basicaly your saying that these admins who are just players, have no training and can act pretty much without consequence (like i said pretty much) should have these rights.
