maloria dev = bewm?
Yeah, so Maloria Dev's gserver shut down unexpectadly, (like zodiac did) and stefan is too busy playing mario kart (or so i hear) to do anything about it. =/

Zodiac doesn't have to pay to be up, Maloria Dev does.


Unless smirt paid for the server again, I don't think anyone else did, which would be the reason for it shutting down (I.E the server's time ran out).

Yes it ran out of subscription time. Is there still a lot to do for the new Maloria before it can be released?

To my knowledge I believe that there is an abundant amount of level work to do, but most of the core systems have been scripted already.


You would get a much more accurate response from Mania, though.

Then again, this project has been going on for over a year or two, so it's difficult to believe anything that the developers working on v3 say since they've been doing a lot of talking over the past months and not a lot of actual progression. I wouldn't be surprised to hear them say that they are almost done when they truly are months away from being complete.


I don't know, but it's your call.

Still quite a bit to be done yes. Most of the overword is done finally, along with most of the 'core' systems. Unfortunately, there is still a lot more to do.

An educated guess based on what the v3 developers have stated on the Maloria forums.

Classic accounts are allowed to log in to them, I believe, but that's about it all the reward classic servers get when it comes to dev servers.

You should be grateful that Classic Tabbed servers get free hosting. It would be pushing it to rebel over a free dev server as well.

We had a great time too, Stefan - Me - CheeToS.

Me and Stefan usually fought with each other, CheeToS was faar. Stefan said tomorrow we gonna play some more but w/ Stefan's brother (didn't know he had one??)... so yeah.. fun =D

Before I quit Maloria, alot of the systems were completed and the overworld was pretty much completed. Seeing that most insides on v2 will be used on v3, Id say that Maloria Dev is -PRETTY MUCH- ready to roll.

They are the #1 server and have been for many years (playercount wise). I believe they at least deserve a free dev server for obviously attracting so many players for such a long time, no matter how inefficient the scripts may be and no matter how laggy the server may be.

No. Delteria got a free dev server, babylon well we all know, and Valikorlia too. I think every classic server should get a free dev server for testing big changes and such.

He asked why Unholy Nation got a free dev server, and I answered. I don't see how what I said can be wrong. You stating that other servers have/have gotten free dev servers does NOT disprove my comment at all.

im saying they don't deserve the dev server because they were/are #1, but rather the fact that every server deserves one for being classic and i listed examples of other servers that have had free dev servers...(actually have)

I didn't say they didn't deserve it, I said that they did. Stating that all classic servers should get free dev servers is a separate discussion.

By the way...according to paypal and graal.net Maloria Dev's 6 month subscription was supposed to run out next month at this time instead of this month. I made a support ticket...we can all rest easy.

Ah Smirt, that's terrible news, I can't believe all this trouble was caused by a techinal error! Of course, since these problems were caused by faulty software, it would be only fair for Stefan to grant us a free 6 month extension on our server. Well, assuming that his business carries the same sort of customer satisfaction policies as most other leading MMOGs.

...why would he? it ended one month early he could return your money or just add more time since you will be paying him agin.
