Craftable permanent items!

I know this thread wont get anywhere due to hopeless players and lazy staff, but i still like getting my ideas out there!
First off, a playermade well, cost some boards, nails, stone, cloth. You dig a hole in the ground somewhere, put the well in the hole, and voila! a well you can get water from!
Another thing is a windmill for flour, and some of the other outside objects you find in towns. OUTSIDE objects, not shops and breadmakers or anything like that.
This way, forts can be more independant, like mideval forts and castles. In times of war everything they needed was right inside the castle, they didnt have to travel miles and miles just to get to a farm or well. good for RP.
But it cant be all good. An enemy could sneak in and sabotage the stuff!
Jam the windmill, poison the well, this would cripple the fort so the members couldnt get stuff so easily.

This "lazy staff" phrase makes me sick. Learn to talk about things, without bashing others or leave it!

Me personally? I am not a developer, but Björn and Stefan are working on GK stuff, maybe they'll tell us on what.

Stuff like this takes you hours?

The hardest thing would be editing the levels/scripts... but still 3/4 of the work is already done.

But I guess posts like this explain why there are never new items even after the GFX are made for you.

If the person doesn't understand it and/or is too lazy to use google to find out things himself or even wants to know what to type there to find out how to edit the extension from a file, actually yes

I don't see a GFX of a small well anywhere, do you. There is only the existing one which is too, huge. It would also be bad to keep it there. I thought about something like that you have to dig for water and if you found it you can put some small hand-water pump in it to get water from it. After some time the water is empty and you can take it again and place it somewhere else.

And to Back up Björn, if you have Items(Such as Wells) that are Permenant then people will Block buildings, houses castles, etc. and eventually No island will be useable :P

However I like the idea of having to Find certian spots to put them, then the water runs out and the Well must be re-placed

You can get it from the sea if you stand just right at the shore line but its like only 1 water each time.

Actually that isn't a half bad idea. They would need to dig a new one but that could still pose a problem at the start because ppl would go nuts and block off places and that.

A well could break down after a few hours. It should also possible to build wells only if there is a minimum space to any other object of 100 pixel or so.

Yeah true they could after a few hours but that still doesn't take away from the annoyance that will come when ppl start building a ton of them outside of shops, taverns, trade's etc. Because it will happen.

Pets and pets at pegs are much more annoying and causing lag.
At last it's a question of the items you'll need to build a well (a shovel, maybe a hammer, stones (30), water, and a new construction material like sand from the south east coast of main for example).

Yeah they are annoying too but ppl would probably build these directly in front of doors. I would say a shovel, axe, hammer, 30 stone, 3 logs, a new construction material 1 rope, and sand.

Well, basically everything is done except the grahpic of the hanwell and it's mudicon. What means the gani can't be worked on.

Something like that from the concept would be good.

I want you to remember what I've quoted.

Then I want you to play for three years, atleast, and get involved in development. Then I want you to reflect on this and ask yourself, "What the Hell was I thinking?"

Thanks.

I tried to google the stuff but it gave me a bunch of stuff i couldnt get any use out of. Im sorry if i havent devoted hours of my time learning the scripting languages and how to upload files. Maybe im just lazy. But then again that stuff doesnt seem too important considering i have school to go to, study, moving into my new house, etc.

I know this will come as a surprise to you, But! Bjorn is also person, who also attends school, and is a very important and influential member in a vicious German motorcycle gang. He has stuff to do, too.
