Do the people who log on have eyes? I know I am being very rude but it's the only way I can say it. Sam had a great idea but this server will never get done. Main reason is down the line you will realise how bad the graphics are you will want to remake them and the server will die.

The graphics arent bad..
but this is comming from the creator.

its i think more so the level.. and if i didnt screw up my tiledefs some how i would make a new one, since i uploaded more to fix some problems.

Since the new version of graal has to be so retarted like when it comes to offline editor... what ever happened to the old "Name it with the server prefix and be good" stuff

Just let the people have their opinions and ignore them...The tiles are in an early development stage and its obvious that they have their errors, but no one gets a tileset correct the first time around (unless its just an edit of another tileset)...Making a tileset completely from scratch takes time. So say the graphics look bad all you want but when they are finished and I see majority of the people that play graal on the server, than well talk.

Gerami new studies indicate that some newly discovered dino fossils were old as around the time man just started walking. Like when we FIRST go on land.

No they haven't. I have gone on with a few people to see what they thought, good friends of mine, and they have thought the tiles as horrid as I have. I have also shown a SS to Zen (Former GGT Administrator) just to get his take on it and asked for suggestions, he asked me "where to start?"

I was thinking about this the other day. Because your going with the whole Caveman and Dinosaur thing, why not go through the entire evolutionary chain leading up to that? Ever played EVO? Thats what I'm kinda talking about. You start out as a small fish, as you eat other animals you start to grow and evolve different parts, you eventually turn in to an amphibian, later you turn into a lizard, then into a full fledged dinosaur, afterwards a mammal, then a monkey, and then a human. The human stage being a sort of "end game" but still not devoid of content. In the human stage you switch focus to what you have now.

EVO was a very interesting game, wasn't it like, for NES or SNES? I think it might be somewhat difficult to pull off in Graal though, not to mention somewhat restraining.

God that would be very very stressful work smirt. For that we would need many good GFXers. Also warp I meant the people that I know of that logged on. I understand you don't like the tiles. I'm always open for suggestions and what you think can be fixed.

Hah. These ideas will lead to the failure of the world being created.

Here, do this. Find an idea, a basic idea to stick with. Create and develop that idea to a point where there is a enough content to release the world to the public, so people can be on the world. If there is success, then plan additional content, for updates, so the world never gets boring. That's all that's needed.

If adding like 500 things to do before release rather than 100 things to do at a release, there will be room for content updates, which people will love. You have to admit, most worlds don't have updates. The updates are just one or two things, which don't change the game that much. Though, if releasing 100 things at once time rather than 500 things at one time, the 100 things will take a lot less time to create versus the 500, of course, but it will keep the project from failing because people tend to lose interest if a project takes too long.

WRONG.

Zone --> Angel and Blookat and Dell? --> Now on Gold tab after originally being on classic.
Enigma Graal --> Went on classic --> Fell off in a couple months.

But Enigma was just a revival, which don't count. Same with Maloria and Era. Nothing fresh apart from Zone has been released.

Hm. Zenkou is going Classic I'm looking forward to that. I believe Zodiac may die seeing as how it's like Maloria with less graphics.

Try to ignore the horrid detail. Just wanted some practice with the tiles and to see what is possible with cliffs and water. Currently got some new assistance (Tom) with ideas and GFX. Also got help from Draenin with baddies so it's going fairly well. Thanks to you both. ;D

What?

Re-read what I said.

Worlds that were re-made to re-release do not count.

That goes for:

Enigma Graal
Era
Maloria
Shaded Legend
Zone

Zone? What's the reasoning that I listed Zone? Stefan took the content of Zone and created what it is now. I know other helped, such as Garel and Loriel, but it's still not new from someone who created and developed a world to release it.

In relation to this thread. You know, a lot of people are posing facts how grass didn't exist. Sure, that is true, but who cares? No one! As long as it's a new themed world, let him do whatever he wishes.

Though, with that screenshot, it doesn't look right to me. I suggest re-doing the cliffs, it just doesn't seem to fit in right. Also, for some reason, those cliffs made of stones, seems familiar, in addition to the ocean. I think I remember something that looked almost alike from when the hosting plan for worlds was released, when Tig made a world. I forgot what world is was, but I remember it was Tig and Jubz (some Era GAT) created something that looks almost like that.
