so i get, cause i aint got money today, so i cant do ****, and i decided to get on graal...

WOW...after about 2 months, theres still no updates, the rockets and mortars are still using the eggs from easter...

and the players now...i remember when i first started, all the players fought normally, without using shift to strafe when your using pistols...

today A FRIEND (dude2020) wanted to spar, he's using aprippers, i'm using apprices, and were on the spar planet...

we go back to back and the spar starts...

he runs up to the top left of the spar arena, and i get in close to him, cause no one can beat me up close (aint that right jar >:O you and ixi would always stay so far away from me in spars

...)

and he ends up shooting me once, turns around and strafes back while shooting me...

now why is it, that the community of Zone has turned into, what we all learned were "newbs"?

and then they think its ok for them to strafe, but then when there strafed, they call that person a newb...

can someone answer this? i was surprised that after 2 months of not playing, the whole community has turned into a bunch of strafers...

and then some kid runs up and says "when your losing just strafe" like its nothing bad...what happened to you "oldbies"? you cant keep newbs in check no more? and why is it everytime i leave for awhile and come back theres alot of strafers, then when i start playing again, the strafers die away? am i the only one that says anything to the strafers? ...?

No, you just suck. Period. I've beaten that dude god knows how many times and I began playing again yesterday after taking a 5 month break.

In all seriousness however, if you're going to come back to Zone to complain about people strafing, I'd personaly rather you stay in your little "life". The updates I obiously agree with you, but they're just minor graphics updates so they aren't very important (As somebody from the AdventureQuest forums told me, and it's true.). I think I ansered the whole two points you had.

It was probably more designed for rifles.

If people try to strafe me, I just laugh at them IRL and walk in another direction.

well i used to use jars technique, and strafe strafers, but i would never get hit that way...and then the games no fun

o btw for all of you strafers, stick to the top left, i was never able to be hit when i would strafe strafers like that :]

and i only got on for 5 mins and all the kids were strafin, it was weird cause people used to call others "newbs" for strafing

Bah, just wait for the Re Birth of Xanadu. Zone will be TAUGHT disapline. And Xanadu will own zone again just like it used to...

i remember when they first came out, they had some good people, and i was asked to join...i kept putting it off, and finally when i decided to join, all kinds of newbs were in it, and the guild died

On one side it's tradition for pros to not strafe. I was never supporting this and always strafed with pistol. Touya and the other then elites hated me for it but I didn't care. They're gone and I'm still here. Ownt.

Strafing is ok with a few guns, but I die a little bit inside when I see people strafe with appirces...

You don't know how many times this has been said to these people.

Okay here's basicaly what's going on in Zone.

"Pros have a tradition of not strafing" as Gerami said, why however? It's sometimes a more effective technique, especialy against groups of people. To them, killing somebody without strafing makes them cool because of the FACT that it's sometimes a less efficient technique. They think restricting themselves to a less than best way of fighting makes them cooler than everyone else. This exact reason is why I used Muramasa, instead of the overall better Plasmasabre. It's all for show, it's all good, but them come people who start gloating because in their minds they are the coolest people in the entire freaking Zone server.

So that's why people like Sayian make threads like this, it isin't bad to think you're cool or to try to show off by doing things on the same level as another person, yet with restrictions, that's all fine. Just don't insult the regular people who are just there to enjoy the game with no need to feel fufilled in it.

EDIT: *Since I have to wait another 8 hours to post, I'll just ask it here...what does "lol, zulu you so *** giiiirrrrrllllll" mean?

I also believe I -do- know what I'm talking about, seeing as you made no point whatsoever, Sayian*

Hayashi
Lost Souls (may have been one)
Xanadu (i think it only lasted for a minute with this "guild" since it was flooded with newbs in a few days, and died shortly after...)

wouldn't allow strafers in, thats why all us oldbies dont strafe, because we were tought not to. before you say something, make sure you no what ur talking about

I myself dont strafe because it's either so predictable or it's too easy. You get better the more effort you put into things, so if I don't strafe you get better alot faster.

i dont strafe with pistols i tried once and died from a newb that i had never ever seen before and i looked at leaderboard and i was only one to die so i am nefer going to strafe with them again and i am trying to stop my rifle strafe habit

I just suck at strafing with anything other than rifles. What's really annoying, though, is when people move backward while strafing so you can't hit them. I taunt them while they're doing that and they try to rush me. Pretty easy.

Also, so long as you don't move in a straight line, strafers aren't a problem. Even Chainguns have small gaps in their line of fire that you can get thru. Apprices too, but only occasionally.

That annoys me, when they run and strafe backwards so their you end up running into their bullets and yours dont go far enough... The point of this thread? So sayian can rant at strafers.
