SCPE (Short-circuiting Pulse Emitter)

This device basically is a device that emits a circular and barely visible puls that shortcircuits and destroys mines. The pulse destroys mines upon impact, and for every blast takes 100 energy to balance it out. It only works within a 15 tile radius. So the stats are really as follows:

Name:Short Circuiting Pulse Emitter
Energy use:100
Speed:Starts fast, slows down. Starting speed is about 3 tiles per second, slows down to 1 tile per second near the end
Shot shape:Circular, center of the circle is where the player is

Can be bought in stores for about, 5000.

Have this be able to take out hovervehicles and it would be a GREAT new weapon.

Well, it should only do a temporary stun on them. And plus, it'd be hard to hit them with it. They'd have to be less then 16 tiles away.

I suggested an idea like this some time ago, except that it covered the entire area seen on the radar.

I'd say restrain this to a SoT (sap over time) like the jetpack is and have it constantly pulsing as you move, and possibly remove you from the radar while it's on?

SCPE?! Wtf... Sounds like an EMP device to me. Stop making up names for stuff that already has a name.

Yes, but an equippable item so you can have weapons out while it's on.

I'm pretty sure it's...
Electro
Magnetic
Pulse
Like on The Matrix II or III, it disable all energy using things for X amount of time.

Uh yeah. Wouldn't that technically disable itself since it probably runs on electricity.

EMP is a one time thing, usually a nuclear blast generates one before the actual immolation factor hits.

Simply put, you can generate a emp field by having an incredibly strong electromagnet strapped to you, but the force needed to generate one to cover your body would pull the iron from your blood, and thus, kill you.

Basically it'd be the same as strapping a CT scanner to your chest.

That's the same as putting a landmine in your shoe. Yeah, from what I get it is a one time only thing.

An EMP sends magnetic pulses, which causes massive magnetic fluctuations and essentially fries anything electronic within it's range.

That would pretty neat, because Stefan can make some bad-ass partice effects :P

Also, Raeiphon, it's funny how sublty degrading you are, and at the same time hilarious. I laugh almost every time I read one of your posts. In fact, I am going to invent an EMP device, move to Australia, and let you test it out. I'll use the iron pulled from your body to give to some random guy who needs ridicuosly small amounts of scrap metal.

But on yet another serious note, I think this is fine as a draining weapon. However, it should not affect bikes, as you can't even shoot from them anymore. Besides, that's what tazebombs are for...

It should effect bikes and jetpacks, they're just used to run away from people.

I know, it's these accursed forums and hanging around Maverick too long is causing me to act like this.

I'm totally serious about the iron thing. If you dont believe me, go stand in the concurrence field of 3 CT scanners, directly in the middle and tell me whether it hurts or not.

Remember how I said I was abrasive? I'm like sandpaper, which you use and use and use then it gets dull then you throw it away or use it for toliet paper. Unfortunatly, i'm not made out of diamonds like Mange is so i'll end up dulling and imploding on myself eventually. Alas.

EDIT: Typhoon, a landmine wouldn't fit in your shoe. Har. I win.

Ok, then place a landmine under your welcome mat and ask the next door-to-door salesmen or mormon how it felt.
