That would actually be very irritating when you have to level yourself. The spells are more limited than targeting range anyway.

Hey draenin, runes are working for me wonderfully right now. Whenever a monster crosses a rune of death they explode, and ice freezes stuff.

Typing a few of the runes differently effect how they are placed and what they do, for example:

/cast magic rune missile swarm
(this will auto-cast a missile swarm when the rune is crossed)

/cast rune of transferrence 50
(when the rune is crossed a nearby player will gain 50 mp)

/cast magic rune magic drain 50
(this will drain magic 50 points from a nearby player and give it to you)

I have been using runes a lot lately. Rune of Death can almost annihilate anything. Rune of Fire and Ice and stuff are pretty good too. I find myself doing hilarious stuff like setting up a summon pet monster series of traps and when they get crossed monsters just appear out of no where. Total mayhem!

Just a side note, when the runes were fixed the create food spell can create any food you have eaten as long as it does not surpass the amount of food you can create. (i can create a candy that gives 75 so i could make any food that is 75 food or less, get it?) /cast transferrence 100 will give 100 mana to one of your buddies from your personal mana pool. Not bad! BTW rune of magic seems to act funny with spells that arent normally casted to be traplike. So its fun to experiment and to different things if you have the mana for it.

And what is really great is when you don't blurt such information about magic to everyone! When you do so, everyone starts using such secrets. Then, it becomes so annoying overused that it gets nerfed.

The runes are not good for sparring I guess but will be interesting for kingdom fights
