Aeon back in time?

Well, Nerfbass and Sage decided to make Aeon (Or shall I say Arkland Empires, AE) only a classic server. So no more Opan (Modern) and Arkland (RP). What do you guys think?

Well most of the staff (encluding me) are thinking of quitting. They took away all our rights because they are on "lockdown" and they deleted Opan already. They just want Elan. We put so much work into that. Wow. Most Aeon/AE staff members are going to make a new server or another server that shows good promoise. :] What do you guys think about this? Also yes, no Arkland and NSC (space).

Well since Nerf and Sage think that everyone hates Aeon and that Aeon has many stolen things and that the classic part is "safe" that they are deleting everything else and making it Arkland Empires. I think it is just an excuse because they don't like the modern part of Aeon.

Seems rather stupid to me, alot of work into all those things, and then they just delete it all because someone suddenly wants to make a different server.

And especially after all the positive comments Aeon got, some people even said its worthy of Classic.

But, your choice.

Is the only "nice" looking server. The tileset is hot (could improve a bit). If you turned it into a "Adventure" server. So nice events (maby even time events such as monsters or something appearing on the overworld) and some nice quests.. it will kick ass

I haven't played it yet but it looked most prommesing

I don't want to give up Arkland, Its my damn project!
(If anyone has suggestions for Arkland please direct to me.)
I'm also going to quit if they don't bring back Arkland or if they don't give me a good reason to stay, if I do I will either make Arkland on some other server or just work somewhere else.

It was originally my project. I want to keep Arkland around Inver. Just keep it on the backburners for now.

Also the main focus of this is to get back to where we started and get off on the right foot rather than attempting to stand on 4 at once. We need to redirect our attention and focus. We realized that we took too many things at once and need to get back to the basics. Our first goal is to finish our classic part. Then if all goes well we will look into adding the others back and such.

Most of what we want to do is what was already been in the process of happening. If we bring Opan back we want to start the Heart of it from scratch and take it in a better direction. Then maybe we can shed the "OMG ITS ERA AGAIN..." stereotypes. Most of the issue is that most of it seems to have been modeled after an old Era. We need to create a new Opan with a Aeon feel and keep it that way.

This is more logical than everyone seems to think. We're just trying to get things in order with better organization and better integration of everything we want and need.

I hope everyone will learn to understand better as it starts to take effect. I still like most of the concept but I would like to not make everything seem so similar to whats out there.

Sage maybe you didn't notice lately, but we already refocused on completing Elan for Classic before we started any other projects, because we were being spread too thinly. This was before you went and deleted everything. People were speaking good of Arkland aswell.

They way you went about focusing people on Elan was completely stupid. I will most likely quit, I don't trust you much if you make snap-decisions. You don't just delete people's work on a whim, if you're a good Owner/Manager that is. I severely hope you've backed everything up before you deleted it.

BTW: Get on AIM or RC.

We have a topic on "Elan To Do List" and "We need to focus on Elan." already. Without you saying so, we already started to work on Elan and you shouldn't have done this. Even the players that we barely have are mad...

Simply put, nobody quite understands. I suggest to just wait before YOU make snap rash decisions but then again isnt that pretty much what happens in forums... cant fight the inevitable. However, it had to be done because it would have happened one way or another and you cant say Im wrong. How many times has Opan been redone anyways? Arkland isnt even close to started even. The scripts are good and guess what... we havent gotten rid of scripts. A lot of gfx and all levels are going to be the main things that disappear that belong to Opan and Arkland. Oh by the way, Space Station hasnt gone anywhere. It is still there my friends. Before you continue to bash or criticize our decision which there will be no possible positive outcome, give us a month or two. Then come talk to us again.

I've talked to Nerf and he has a point about things. The other worlds still exist just not on the server now. Aeon will get Classic Tab first before we start on any extra projects, I believe you all know what to expect from us.

We're not killing all the work. Though this will help weed out some stuff that needs to be redone. It will also let us start from new views on things. It is a great idea here it just seems rash. This will garuntee a focus on Elan.

FYI To all:

Aeon, which will shortly be Arkland Empires again, is going through a major change at this moment. Sage and I, (NerFBaSs) have placed all activity on lockdown until a massive review has been done to the server, this should last no more than 72 hours from 12pm on February 18.
The Reason:
Due to the amount of expended time creating a server that was intended to be fit for all, much corruption has fit into cracks. Many stolen creations have tarnished our once pure reputation. This reputation could go away we believe. The fact that this could even have happened is our failure as leaders and where the final judgment lays before us. We can no longer let this happen because we will not fail. This server is meant to be a burst of creation that creates an exciting game to revolutionize Graal in an original way. Graal have been slowly dying and some of the player counts are dropping and this game is starting to disappear because people are not getting the fun out of it they once had. The problem:… well the problem is there is a load of *pardon my French* bull**** worth of game mods with new ways to play Graal. There are so many new mods of Graal yet, now we look, there is no real Graal anymore it’s just an ftp server to support Graal mods with no original game. We will bring this back with Elan as a New Arkland.
The Solution:
In whole, Arkland and Opan will be removed completely. The Elan we have will be the only focus and that is how it shall remain. Elan is a great classic world and will be the only concentration for the future of this server. Sage and I are reviewing everything during this lockdown and doing what needs to be done, deleting, editing, etc. Elan will be enhanced and as far as people working on the server we are just going to start having fun on our own server.

Anyways, I'll rally the troops. I think it's most important that we keep all the dedicated staff and that they don't leave. I just hope that they are as loyal to me as I think they are.
