The kingdom treasure in castles...
it just lies there collecting dust.
why not make it have a purpose?
The king of the kingdom can withdraw money for the kingdom to fund event prizes , help players and so on.

in b mode if a kingdom member kills a member from another kingdom money is put into the chest by a few hundred plat or so.
if someone uses a ferry the money they pay goes into chest.
if a ship is sunk and the people downed are members of another kingdom money goes up.

Wars would be good for all kingdoms which would encourage more battles and fire exchange btween them.
Kingdoms could show their wealth and make battle wagers.. say you were leader of zormite.. want to fight the pirates? make a 900,000 wager if you feel confident on winning. pirates would also make a wager. imagine the battle? and winning a big sum of blood money for the kingdom? imagine the prizes from events your leader could host too?
i think it would be a very good improvement to the 5 castles.

Plat in GK is pretty much useless now. The only real currency of importance is diamonds now.

But Platinum can easily be converted into Diamonds. Ergo, Diamonds are to paper money as platinum is to coined money.

Good way to put it, for most things that are relatively expensive, diamonds are used, but plat is still extremely necessary as its the only way to get things like EA's, IWD's, skill scrolls, rings, amulets, etc introduced into the economy.

plat in my books is more practical as you can get a lot of stuff in the shops. how many times have you heard over guild messages " hey can you give me 5k please? just these Ea's spawned and all i got is diamonds"
i hear that line a lot on guild messages.and to be honest. its a lot better getting plat than nothing at all.
