Well, i have some questions about the RP on GK (Which seems quite dead)..

1) Is it still there?
2) Are there any RP guilds?
3) If yes to 1), what percentage of players, circa, does it?
4) Dumb question, but i have to ask, does people here on GK think short sentences like "OMG" "THX" and stuff like that is RP? Cause everyone seem to talk that way, and i, don't know if any other does, find it ever so annoying..

1) No, well only in CP, and if you call running around LOL I DRINK ALE AND IM A PIRATE roleplay, why sure its still there.
2) Doubt it, all roleplaying familys are dead, unless you want in Nayokos family or w/e.
3) None, its boring at the moment due to its LOL KILL BELOL IT SUxx0rz My b0x0rz. Everyone says it.

Well the kingdom members i've seen are not RPing at all.. so i didn't think that thoose were RP guilds, though it would be awesome..

This isn't Valikorlia and never will be. Just because you're on your kingdom tag doesn't mean you should be RPing unless you're in an RP event.

Yea, alot of people have tried. It was working too, but the majority of people didn't enjoy it.
Alot of the kingdoms host kingdom events. I'm sure they all RP too. Just this weekend CP hosted a nice event. I was a guardian in it

Nice, but all i would love to see, was people RP'ing as a daily activity. Would be awesome, don't ya think?

Yeah, just like the real world, if the smart kids do it, all the other ones do. In this case, the smart ones are the trade people.

I would prefere not to RP while off my kingdom tag and hanging in trade etc, although i do enjoy RP'ing but choose to do it with my kingdom, although kingdom RP has been lacking alot recently, havn't seen it since Zoe + Padren was the leaders of Dustari.

If you're on tag on CP at a time when there are 12-16 CP members on at a time (pretty often) there is plenty of RP talk. If Alan is on, which he is alot of the time, then the RP is pretty strictly enforced (he doesnt say anything, I think everyone just wants to impress him.) This doesnt mean there is no RP when he isn't on. Unfortunately when talking out of PMs there isnt much RP talk at all (I do it too, so its tough to be mad about it). I think what needs to be done is the other kingdoms need to be a bit more aggressive about recruiting. In my opinion, there would be alot more RP happening if CP had someone to RP with. The single Sam guy on and that dude over there from dusty and then Oasa (no-tag we just understand he represents bella) isn't going to incite any great CP vs the world kingdom battles or alliances. No one wants to admit it, but it seems to me that the other kingdoms simply aren't trying to recruit. (its my understanding CP has stopped recuiting, hopefull that will help)

And thats where you're wrong. If a server is meant for RP which GK is, you're suppose to do it ALL the time, not just when some event occurs. These atitudes kill RP. You only do it when forced to do so, or when you feel like it.

The server is meant for having fun. The roleplaying kingdoms are simply one activity you can engage in. Please do not tell the players of this server what they are supposed to do all the time.

I'd really like to know when Stefan said that GK was meant for RP exclusively.

I really don't get why people think that roleplaying on GK is a manditory thing. The only people it should be manditory for are the ones who have made the decision of joining a kingdom. People should be encouraged, not forced, to roleplay. There should be a healthy level of roleplaying to keep the game engaging, but so many people right now are so focused on defending their own kingdom that any roleplaying that occurs now is there not because people are wanting to have fun, but because they don't want to get in trouble, which really screws things up. People no longer launch attacks much anymore because there's no reason to, and people only roleplay on GK nowadays so that they can say, "Hey, look. We're roleplaying!!" If you don't believe me, go look under Bel'la's threads at the thread called, "Bel'la Olplyn not inactive." The whole server's become paranoid, and it's very irritating. If kingdoms are going to roleplay, they don't need to make big announcements. They just need to shut up and do it. When I still played on here, I never announced to the entire server that I was checking up on how kingdom leaders were doing and if they needed any help. I just went directly to them and didn't really say much else about it. I mean, really. How hard is it for a king or queen to set up a roleplaying event? It's not like they require elaborate planning. You could say something like "(Insert name) is being knighted today. Those of you who wish to attend the ceremony are welcome to join in the celebrations" to your kingdom members, and guess what? You've created a roleplaying event without saying, "LOL WE R GUNNA AR PEE 2DAY KKS GUYS?!" Hell, Samurai could even have some kickass events if they wanted to. Be creative. There could be events like occasional harvests, new member training, town raising, building up defenses, construction of naval forces, rank award cemonies, inter-kingdom drills, (As opposed to all-out battles.) retellings of legends, and a whole lot more, but instead I just see kingdom isles empty now for the most part, and lots of people idling on main saying, "I IS ONLIEN ISE ACTIV." It's revolting.

I see where you're going, and i like the statement, but even though it isn't mandatory, it should be atleast encouraged on the start island.

Yesterday i was talking to someone from CP, can't remember his name, but while was talking, some guy with a knife kept walking around hitting the guy from CP, telling him "Im an old CP" and stuff like that, and that i couldn't join the RP event we were talking about because i weren't an old CP. He just annoyed the living hell out of me. Apparently, thoose guys are the RP'ers of today?

No. It's not really going to help anything. People will still feel the need to do something in order to show off for us, and that's the complete opposite of what we were wanting to happen. If people on Kingdoms had the faintest idea of what it's like to roleplay, they would've done it even when we weren't watching them. Not for their own standing, but because it's enjoyable to do stuff that makes players feel more engaged in the community they're in.

The roleplaying team, when it was created, was more of a joke. We were told what our jobs and responsibilities were, but yet, we had no authority to carry out our decisions. We were essentially there for nothing at all. Maybe it was just so that the populace of GK would feel like they should be doing something else besides sitting in the middle of a town and chatting or PKing. Too bad not much came of it but a lot of people getting at each other's throats.

CP does RP and we do it without anyone asking or planning all the time. Last week we had a pirate wedding, a party in my mate and next door neighbors house, about 30 events all of which were related to pirates or pirate activities. Regular ship wars, which is the pirate bread and butter. Generally its not rare to see 10 CP members all hanging out together drinking pirate rum and using nothing but RP talk in a room for an hour at a time. Unfortunately most of our activities could be considered more of a "guild" type deal as opposed to an RP kingdom but thats becasue we are the only active RP kingdom. I don't care when every single person that sits here and *****es about GK being a waste and having gone down the tubes who hasnt actually played GK in 6 montsh to a year comes on here and yells that CP is the devil and that every other kingdom has their reasons for being inactive. Its time for the other kingdoms to be active. How bout someone taking control of Bella or Sam or Dusty or Forest and getting together a player count that will go on tag EVER. You have no idea how thirsty CP is for someone to RP with besides ourselves. And yes, this is the problem, from someone who knows because they are currently, right now, this moment, an active RPer on GK. kthx.

It didn't "change". That was never the way it was. That 2K2 is an RP server was an assumption made by Karakaze members and high-ranking members within the kingdoms, it wasn't actually true.

Which is why i probably will join CP, but something tells me that if all RP'ers join CP there will be none left for the other kingdoms..

So in what way did I make a claim that CP was the "only" kingdom on GK? I also never said anything about CP being the best, greatest, etc kingdom on GK either. I did however say it is by FAR the most active, which I personally think is hard to dispute. If you can dispute it (for example if Sam is having hundreds of super secret off tag events in an underground lair somewhere) then by all means do. So, frankly, I just dont understand your comment.

Dude, you just kinda sounded like CP was the only kingdom. He was stating that even though CP RP, it doesn't really make a change if the others don't, correct me if i'm wrong.

All I'm trying to say is I wish, WISH, as a member of the RPing community on GK that the other kingdoms would become a bit more active. I'm not saying they don't exist. I am saying they're inactive. you can yell at me for that if you wish. But its the truth.
