Kingdom items

I'm sure this has already been put out, or something similar to it has been.. but i'll say it anyways.
As we know there are kingdom items scattered EVERYWHERE, some inactive, and some still around..
My idea is that we bring in the script from maloria to GK, the one where you have to be IN the nation, and ON tag in order to get or use the nation's weapons. This could work for GK, we could make it so a certain amount of ranks are able to use them. This could also improve kingdom activity, the number of members on tag, and perhaps kingdom events. Not only that, this could aslo keep the items into their own kingdom.

The downside of this idea is, the shields and things with power or wis will end up making that kingdom full of mages, while the others are full of people who use Str or Con or Speed.

Just an idea, don't bash it.. just post your thoughts on it.

It's been talked about for a long time. Doubt it will ever happen, because people want to keep such a tight grip on their stuff.

Do you really want people wearing kingdom tags just to use items? That sounds like a horrible idea. They should wear them to roleplay.

What the hell...if this happened people would need to join a kingdom to suit thier needs, me being a fighter would only be able to choose between Dustari and Pirates because i would like to use a strength shield, somebody else will need to join Samurai for the con and speed...everyone else would join pirates because they get tons of event items and a free item with every promotion. People will be joining a kingdom for all the wrong reasons =/

Of course, if people roleplayed their roles instead of relying on stats to determine them, nobody would be limited to joining certain kingdoms.

How about this... each kingdom has 3 SETS of items. One for power, one for speed, and one for magic. Example, Dustari Platemail, Dustari Studded Leather, Dustarian Magecloth Vestments. Each piece would give stat bonuses according to their set base. Of course, people can choose to wear only some of the pieces, but can only wear them if they're members of that kingdom. Each piece is craftable at the various outposts and barracks. The items would normally sport their respective emblems and can be worn regardless of tag.

There's an easy compromise here. Just make it so that the restrictions don't apply retroactively. So all the kingdom items already released can be used by anyone regardless of their kingdom.

We shouldn't have to sacrifice roleplaying on the server for stats on items.

My point exactly, which is why kingdom items shouldn't be tied down to the kingdom you are in.
